Don't give up Hope!
-
I'm bringing a friend/bodyguard.
Anticipating a cable debate?
Now that IS funny!
...but I am bringing a spool of zip-cord. ;-)

I lost my pride and my hair.
I've heard that those are the 2'nd and 3'rd things to go.
Seems like there's something else, but I can't remember what it was.
-
I must have gotten the Senior rate.
Played the AARP card eh?
I lost my pride and my hair.

Maybe it was a little more as I asked for a non smoking King. I mentioned Klipsch as well.
Call 'em back. I was quoted the same price for King or double.
-
Booked.
FYI, it was $45 and change a night just now for a non-smoking double bed room (same as their "Advance Booking" website price). I did mention I was with the 'Klipsch group'.

OK, I'm coming. I'm bringing...
A battery-powered T-Amp.
Frazier Black Box II speakers.
25 shots of Weller 12 whiskey.
A couple of ounces of Heroes of the Alamo pipe tobacco (from Hill Country Humidor in San Marcos Texas).
Some pre-recorded music of some sort.
-
Travis Club... because we all get nasty sometimes.
-
Hmmm... maybe I'll bring my Black Box II and a T-Amp for the Scotsman's Audio Korner.

I smoke a pipe, mostly.
-
Weller 12, Bullitt, Jack Black, Knob Creek, Wild Turkey...mostly
Weller 12 is the best kept whiskey secret there is. Good taste, sir.
-
Count me in (tentatively, family health issues could interfere) for 3/28-29 at the Super 8.
-
So... what are the 'hard points' as we know them?
Dates? (March 28-29 I presume.)
Location? (Hope, AR... but a little greater detail, perhaps).

Pool and environs at the Super 8 Motel in Hope (3 years ago).

Well, PM, as I mentioned I am a participant and not a principle on this. Just let me know where and when to show up.
No reservations allowed at an Arkansas outhouse. First come, first served. Bring yer own paper.
Dave
Ditto. I brought up the Super 8 in the first place because I noticed what good meeting spaces they had when I stayed there last. Many of the acoustical problems of the Farmhouse should be absent. We just nee to be sure and book the rooms above it!
-
Yeah, now I remember that.
Wonder if any of the Klipsch locals might know of something. If they are not in any way involved perhaps Texarkana, bit less than 30 minutes away, might offer more options. Maybe rent a whole B&B for a Friday-Sunday if you have enough needing a place to stay. Those of us not needing housing could just kick in whatever you think for the privilege.
However, it's your event, and I'll be there wherever you have it unless something bigger than me stops me. This whole idea of a old fashioned "happening" appeals to me.
Dave
Dave, IIRC, the Super 8 ( an old MCM Holiday Inn) has two (?) secure large meeting rooms off the lobby, used now by the Rotary and Kiwana clubs for monthly meetings.

Any thought given to making the site Tapatalk enabled?

Heresys are prone to 'shouting', and are very input (amp type... Macs are a good match) and room-placement sensitive (in my experience). So...
1) Make sure the XO connections are tight and correct (and that the woofers are working), and that the polarity of your speaker leads are correct,
2) Experiment with placement: near walls, away from walls, in corners, away from corners, on the floor, or risers, tilted up, etc.,
3) Refresh the caps in the XO (no need for new XOs). In my experience with heritage Klipsch 3-ways, the old caps tend to mute the highs, but it depends on where they drift.
Good luck!
...and congratulations! I'd love a pair of raw birch Decorators someday.

The Hope "Super 8" motel (old Mid-Century Modern Holiday Inn) has meeting rooms PERFECT for show and tell.
