  1. A few months ago I purchased the Jesus Christ Superstar dvd and loved it. So, I ordered the 1970 cd with Ian Gillan to compare the diference. Ian was awesome but I honestly believe Ted Nelley takes it. Could be the that I'm watching when he sings. Anyway, I just played the correctly printed disk one and disk two music played. Disk two played disk two correctly. I bought this off ebay from a mega dealer with 99 % feedback. Does the glitch make this valuable. Any way of knowing for sure it's an original and not a fouled up copy ? The printing is perfect. But of course with my luck it would only be valuable if thousands of them were not made (lol) And if it's not worth anything, I'll probally choose to keep it anyway and not return it.
  2. I bought the dvd at tower records and the the concert is impressive, I was disapointed that disk 2 "Dark Side of the Moon" wasn't from the old days with Roger Waters. The sticker on the front said "includes first dark side of moon recorded concert" Foolish me simply thought that had to be with Roger. However, I still love my "Roger Waters In the Flesh" dvd the best.
  3. I did an eight ball of coke every weekend with my wife for around 15 months, bankrupted us, lost the house, couldn't stand the $ pressure so I turned my back on her and my two kids and split. This caused my wife of 15 years to have a nervous breakdown so I did the manly thing. I left her grasping for survival while I easily took custody of the children pushing her deeper into depression. I'm now eight years without a drink or toot and my daughter just graduated 8th with high honors but I can never take back what I did to my wife. But on the bright side, I am more than prepared to deal with alcohol and drug addictions with my children. They both understand deeply that if I ever see them drunk at any age, I will whoop there butt and if I even suspect they are doing any drugs other than marijuanna I will remove their butt's. And, they can not smoke marijuanna until they are 18 and it must be used responsibly. My views may not be legal, but they are from the heart. You do not get high and go beat the wife or get behind the wheel and hit someone. Sincerely, Bob
  4. I'm not sure how many movie's were made from a rock album but being a music lover, it just makes Superstar even more special. There are so many powerful songs here, but Yvonne Elliman (mary magdalene) singing "I don't know how to love him" will leave you breathless. "I don't know how to love him" is beautifully shot at night in an all natural setting. Ps - I also saw Godspell on a school field trip and thought it was a joke !!!
  5. I watched Jesus Christ Superstar tonight for the first time in over 30 years. I have only seen it once before on a grade school field trip. Every song is sung with such incredible energy and intensity. All the dancers/singers male and female are stunningly beautiful and poured everything they had into it. The film is by Norman Jewison with Andrew Lloyd Webber on the music. It is filmed in it's entirety in the Israel Desert. Basiclly, the move is about the last week or so in the life of Jesus told through the eyes of Judas. Sort of like Mad Max's Passion but more powerful and without the blood. I am not a holy roller, but as a child this film hit me more spiritually than all the sermons put together during my 8 years at St. Bens Grade School.
  6. I just love Sabbath's Live Evil album where Heaven + Hell ends and goes straight to Paranoid. Priest - Exiter Scorps - Another piece of meat Maiden - Transylvania UFO - Lights Out (live) Schenker - Lost Horizons Metallica - Prince Charming AC/DC - Whole lot of Rosie Van Halen - Hot for Teacher Molly Hatchet - Flirtin with Disaster Kiss - Detroit Rock City Deep Purple - Space Truckin ZZ Top - Planet of Women Rainbow - Kill the King Nugent - Pain Killer
  7. Hi Moon, I'm a single parent raising 2 children ages 11 + 13. I have had custody for 8 years now. My kids started doing their own breakfast thing around 4 years ago. I don't care if they have cereal, toast, poptarts or donuts but they are responsable for cleaning up. Thinking back, I believe they enjoyed making their own selection. Of course, they're will be a few messes like pouring milk too fast so they may need help with but they learn. The funniest thing is they have no clue how to pour cereal so make sure you teach them to open one side of the bag all the way and flatten out the side and it will pour freely. I probally blow my stack once per month. I'll toss out their friends, chew them out, tell them what I want done (NOW), go in the family room, slam the door and put on some rock n roll and crank it up on my sweet RF-7's Best of luck, Bob[]
  8. Without a doubt, The Scorpions Tokyo Tapes. I don't know how mant lp's and cassettes my friends and myself burnt out as teenagers but 27 years later, it still holds up. The combination of He's a Woman, Speedy's Coming and Top of the Bill still raises the hair on my neck and We'll Burn the Sky on the flip side is to die for. Honorable Mentions: UFO - Lights Out Rainbow - On Stage Deep Purple - Made in Japan Nugent - Double Live Gonzo Ozzy - Randy Rhoads Tribute
  9. Hello Friends, I've never owned a preamp but notice most of you have one. I just have a yamaha receiver and an adcom amp. Now, please don't laugh (too hard) but what does the preamp do for you ? Thanks, Bob
  10. Well, after just cranking out Iron Maidens dvd Live after Death I'm going with Steve Harris. God can this dude play some bass which by the way has become my favorite instrument since purchasing my wonderful beat up, neglected RF-7's. Bob
  11. I just bought her dvd on ebay based on this thread and the reviews on cdnow.com or perhaps I just couldn't resist the pic of her gorgeous body drenched in sweet sweat Thanks Arky, Bob
  12. thanks jay for the nice offer but like i said, these are for my wish list only for now - unless i make the top table a couple times this weekend playing party poker (lol) Life is wonderful - what better than to play poker with sweet klipsch speakers playing rock n roll
  13. thanks jay - i did some looking and it looks like to get down to 30 herts i need to spend some money - is that there much dif with the klipsch rsw-12 and the 15 ? i read the specs right the 12's are 22 hz + the 15's are at 19 hz- ebay has the 12's running at $1000 + the big boys at $1300 - you would think with so much less wood, and drivers used, they would be cheaper than a single RF-7 (lmao) bob
  14. hello all, i just got my rf-7's and they have excellant base. i'm hearing bass playing on my music that i've never heard before. So, i'm curious if you guys use your subs for music and how much sweeter does it sound - currently it sounds like pete way is in the room - but i want to know if petes in your room and having a cocktail with you - need to know before i think about putting a sub on my wish list thanks, bob
  15. I've been monitoring ebay for months on our beloved RF-7's before making my purchase. And everyday scammers list them with an outside ebay email address. This is against ebay policies and for sure these guys are crooks. Couple good ideas with ebay buying is check feedback score, get their phone # and talk live, ask for another pic of product with a bannana or baseball bat in pic so you can be sure they have the product and if the deal sounds to good to be true it probally is. Personally, I love ebay and wouldn't have afforded my Rf-7's, adcom 555 amp, etc, without it. Bob
