  1. I have bought a few things on ebay, I dont care for it. I will tell you Amy helped me with questions I had and was very honest and professional when I made a purchase on the ebay klipsch store. Thanks Amy the rf7's have rocked my world ;-)
  2. I agree with the respones here .I remember those days, although they weren't to bad. Maybe I got lucky. I do recall treating my boys not as equals but as individuals. I would explain Cause and effect to them in a way they understood. I understood you cant force someone to be hungry. I know I have never wanted to eat as soon as I woke up. I also explained to them what would happen at around 10 am if they didn't try and eat now. I explained if they weren't ready to go when the had to get to school, they would be home alone. I continued to explain what was wrong with that, I wouldn't be doing my job properly raising them. 2, there is laws for that stuff including truancy. If I didn't get up and go to work what would happen? to our house / home and right on down the line. They began to understand thats the way life works. I dont know ,they just seemed to get it. I'm glad cause in winter I would have to plow snow all night, my wife would go to work just about when I got home. I would lay on the couch half asleep, one eye half open as the boys got ready on their own , dressed ,ate, combed hair , brushed teeth and left when the clock said 7:45. I even taught them to watch the news to see if there was a snow day. When I heard the bus drive off the other eyed closed. They had learned to take care of themselves. The only thing I had to watch for was they didn't wear plaid with stripes lol !! haha
  3. Speaking of leg humpers have you ever seen one of those mechanized battery opperated dogs you hook on your leg haha
  4. Hey Tom , killer boat. Wouldn't you like to throttle that one time , cool! , hey have you got your new boat yet?
  5. I thought Kathy had some good one-liners LMAO !
  6. Out of my leauge, ONE OF A KIND Twin Staggered 1075s, 1075 hp each http://www.grandsportcenter.com/cig/2006_cigarette_39_top_gun_unlimi2.htm
  7. Hey have any of you guys figured out how to put a pair of RF -7's in these toys lol ;-)
  8. I've read through this thread, I dont believe or cannot believe nobody has mentioned the tiger scene in APOCOLYPSE NOW. I cant tell you how many people have about flipped out of the chair. Not to mention the choppers flying around the living room. (I love the smell of napom in the morning lol) Another was Dances with Wolves, there is some good rifle shots that make you check your own chest to see if you're bleeding. Dances With Wolves is also a good movie to show people the difference between letterbox and regular( people that dont get it, hate letterbox). There is a scene with regular (cropped for TV) when you see 3 guys from behind on horses, I then show the same scene in letterbox, guess what there is like 6 guys
  9. Hey Tom thats a good one. It's ok you can like Nascar if you like. I used to watch them and Indy cars til they screwed that up. I haven't paid as much attention to any of them as of late. I used to tape all the races just to have them. F1 just always had a certain air about it. I recall an F1 race when it was raining bad ( yes they race in the rain) Schumacher (ferrari) stayed out on his slicks and everyone else went to rain tires. Schumacher remained ahead of the field by 45 seconds the whole race. I dont know how but thats one talented driver. I dont know how old you are but I loved F1 in the early to mid 90's. Senna and Mansell were huge rivals. I remember Senna didn't have a contract at the seasons start, they paid him 1 million a race. Man the pits took 6 seconds , fuel was a cocktail of who knows what (it was secret) $3000 to fill the tank, they never had to refuel. No pitlane speeds. If you stalled or something outside your pit spot or on the course (thus the cranes) nobody could help you get going again , you were done. No pace car, no full course cautions that bunches everyone up again. Oh the standing start is always fun to watch. If I remeber correctly the anouncer said at 18,000 rpm a spark plug fires 275 times a second. I remember Micheal Andretti going over there and was Senna's team mate. he could be fast but he crashed almost every race , too bad . He was the only American in F1. Not many people can handle those cars All those things mentioned above just made it more hardcore. A racers race, the best of the best from around the world, man and machine, racers and car builders. Thats why I was always turned on by F1, Oh and the pit babes lol ;-)
  10. I remember days like that, when my boys were at that age. They liked helping me with sno-mobile engines, yeah always trying to make them faster. Great pics, those are the ones to cherish
  11. Gilbert: Guesstimated a solid 225, to 240HP max Thats bad ***, awesome!
  12. Oh.....let me sneak in a pic of my boat (soon to be replaced by a 28' Velocity with single 496 Mag HO). Those sea-doos always look like a blast, and fast. Congrats on the new boat, sounds great, post some pics!
  13. F1 is the WORLD championship, Senna, Mansell, Shumacher, Prost were/are like rock star gods. I have a laser disc full surround sound, F1 at Monaco, The full in car lap view/sound will rock your world. They truely are at one with their machine. It always amazed me when the new seasons rules change to slow the cars down from the previous year, they always come back faster even though things are taken away or changed. Technical wizardry. Plus they have cool, great looking pit babes. Nascar has cool crashes ;-)
  14. 2 cycle with tuned pipes, yamaha in a jet ski? . How much hp?
  15. Glad I read this thread , I never realized they did something recent, I think I heard something about them doing something again but not a recorded concert. I will certainly check it out.
  16. Haven't been to Traverse City since the summer at Interlochen summer camp..... It's still there oldtimer. I've done alot of work out there paving. Here's a shot to bring back some memories. Taken from behind the theater
  17. Thats a great looking baja, they make good looking boats, always liked them. A friend had a 32 ft yellow baja, twin 454 efi, sweet boat.
  18. hey lets here the story, november and lake michigan doesn't sound to fun
  19. That is a damn sharp boat , great lines. I bet you miss it. I know in the summer on sunday I ask myself, do I go boating or mow the lawn. I think you know the answer haha lol
  20. Post somemore pics of your boat, I always liked that checkered flag. I've had mine for 2 yrs. I hope the fun doesn't wear off. Its such a great time, even if it were just for the cherry festival week. You know what sold me on a boat, being on my brothers boat in the marina 50 yards from the band WAR playing "low rider" at the cherry fest .... Food ,drink, and scenery lol. heres a pic I snapped of a blue angel
  21. The aerial shot you see is northern Michigan, Traverse City to be exact. Little finger region. Leelanau peninsula on left, Old Mission peninsula middle, facing north, west bay left ,east bay right, open lake michigan water north at the end of the peninsula. The water is that blue like a sapphire. the blue angels come here for the Cherry Festival, ( cherryfestival.org ) check it out ,thats a hell of a party on the waterfront. There is many cool boats out there, little to big. Yes the boat is thru hull ,4 in stainless and loud. Bravo one drives. Stainless props, 70+ mph. I dont live far from the launch. There is a stretch of beach thats a great place to anchor and party. I'll leave it in anchored if the weather is good and drive down to it during the week, lots of boats do that. We'll spend the night on weekends .Not sure how many hours on the boat, engines are around 100 hrs
  22. I've seen those crownline boats on the bay , they are very nice, I always thought they looked cool, love the yellow. I run the boat on a bay, part of lake Michigan. We have alot of inland lakes around but most are a little small for my boat, launching would be difficult also. I believe they have a 55mph speed limit. I think if I were to open it up someone would complain. Here's a pic of east and west bay with the island (thats fun), lake Michigan far left and above the peninsula, which is 18 miles long for reference
  23. I have alot of older discs, laser and dvd. Some must realize the sound just isn't there. Thats when you have to appreciate the visual. What was great cruising in the car listened to on 8 tracks still wont sound much better or have a presence like recent recordings. I find that with some Stevie ray Vaughan which I love from mid 80's. You could turn the volume to zero with him and still have the hair on your neck stand haha
  24. Thanks Jay , cant wait for my world to be rocked []
