  1. You're in my prayers, Marshall. Be blessed and be healed. Wade
  2. I am contemplating replacing a dead NAD T 753 (7.1 receiver) with a Yamaha RX-V1065 (7.1 receiver). The NAD is 70w x7 and the Yamaha is 105w x 7. Also, the Yamaha has many features that the NAD does not. My concern, and question, is will the sound quality of the Yamaha equal, or exceed, the NAD's ? Thanks, Wade
  3. To sum up 2009 two words: It sucked !
  4. There is a big drive here in Jacksonville (Tebow's home town) to draft him for the Jaguars. I would love to see that happen. It might be the only way this city keeps the Jags here. Tebow is a very major fan draw in NE Florida.
  5. Here is "the chartroom" located in the technical questions area. http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/64610.aspx?PageIndex=1
  6. Sorry for your loss Amy. [] I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.
  7. I played around with this a little more and found out that the car is only blue in IE8, not IE7 or earlier. This is still really weird as no other avatars are affected by this as far as I can tell. My guess is there is something unique about your avatar image. Did you alter it to make it red?
  8. I just opened this thread in IE and it is blue for me too, and red in Firefox. That is so weird! Amy?
  9. Coytee, If you want to use Firefox, which I agree is much better than IE, there is an "add-on" available at the main Moziila web site that you can install into your Firefox and it alows you to open what would normally be "IE only" web sites.
  10. They're just calling it Swine Flu, I think it might really be "Captain Trips", but I'm one of the immune ones.
  11. CWF kinda looks like varnish to me. As far as I know, it comes in "clear" and "cedar tone". We have always used the cedar tone. Ours certainly isn't light, but it isn't real dark either. It's probably a little darker than brand new unfinished cedar. Every 5 years my painter just pressure washes the house and then sprays the CWF on. He's probably sprayed it 3 or 4 tmes for me over the past 18 years. Perhaps a serious pressure washing with mineral spirits would take some of the dark stain color out of yours and then CWF it? I say that because one of the times that my house was sprayed, the painter's workers got a totally different product than CWF and sprayed it instead. I came home and freaked. It looked like they had sprayed it with orange paint. It looked awful. I called the painter and told him to get that stuff off of there before it totally dries. I remember him telling me that he thought he bought every gallon of mineral spirits in town getting that stuff off. It was definately lighter after the mineral spirit wash, but looked as gorgeous as ever when he came back and sprayed the CWF. He probably lost a fair amount of money on that job, but the upside was that we didn't see any bugs for a long time after that.
  12. endover, It sounds like my house has the same "rough side out" cedar siding that you have. What part of Florida are you in? I have my house sprayed about every 5 years with "CWF" (Clear or Cedar Wood Finish) with the cedar tint in it and w/UV protection . Available at Home Depot. The wood looks gorgeous, especially right after its been freshly sprayed. This finish maintains and beautifies the natural cedar wood look. It does seems to dry out and gets some mildew on the bottom after 4-5 years. I guess the rain & sun gets to it. My painter says it would probaly last longer if I had gutters to keep some of the water off it. Another cedar wood house in my neighborhood used to look very similar to mine and then they went & painted it with dark brown paint. It now looks horrible. IMO they totally ruined their "cedar wood look". Wade
  13. In my case, 3 years ago I had intermittent severe neck pain and also severe right elbow pain with numbing fingers. The elbow pain felt like whacking your funny bone and would last for hours. I tried all the usual things to no avail. I had been steadily on vicodin for sveral months and wanted to stop them. When the symtoms started to get worse, I got a CT scan and an MRI and went to see a neurosurgeon. I had 3 herniated discs, C5,C6 & C7 I believe, and also part of the vertebrea around them was pressing on a nerve root. He told me that if I didn't have the fusion surgery that I likely would end up paralyzed in at least my right arm. Even though it was a scary procedure, I chose to go ahead and have the surgery, knowing that my neurosurgeon was known as the best "neck guy" around and he had done the procedure many times before with good results. Besides removing the 3 discs, he had to grind away the section of vertebrae that was pressing on the nerve root. He then installed 1 large bone graft to replace the discs and held it all together with a titanium plate and screws. The operation was a complete success and recovery was very fast. I did not even have to wear a neck brace due to the titanium plate. Today, I have zero neck pain, zero elbow pain and no fingers numbing. Also, I have at least 95 percent of my neck mobility. Even more than before the surgery since the pain was restricting. I did end up with one minor side efect symptom though. I lost some of the fine motor skills in my right hand which totally changed my signature and effects my hand writing to a small degree, but no big deal. I'll take that over the pain anyday. I would not hesitate to recommend this type of surgery if you know you have a good surgeon. I know of at least 3 other people who have had similar surgeries, all with excellent results. Although, I did hear about another person who had a similar surgery and in his case his body rejected the bone graft and he ended up with some paralysis. I believe that is rare though. Take care
  14. Thanks Bruce, that really helps a lot. I really appreciate it. Wade
