  1. CECAA850, I think you suggested that to me along time ago. Will it do what I need it to do?
  2. I'm going to buy a Radio Shack SPL meter this weekend so I need a test CD for dummys. I bought one on Ebay and it was called Pink Noise and I'm sure it would work fine for most people but not me. I'm not for sure on how to use it but I believe I need to isolate lets say the left main speaker and calibrate it. Then move on to the right main speaker and then center and so on. My problem is that I can't play only my left speaker unless I disable all my other speaker. And if I do disable all the other speaker and get my left main adjusted and then move on to the right main I'm afraid that I will lose all the settings I made to my left main. Confused? I am. I called Yamaha tech support and ask them how play out of only one speaker at a time and he told I couldn't(rather short with me). Anyway my question is, is there a test CD that will play out of one channel at a time and not all at once? I hope that made some sense.
  3. Thanks for the reply's. Our plants do look like they are under watered. The pepper plants look burned up and it hasn't been that hot. Building a frame is a good idea. But I'm a little stapped for cash. Had to send one of my boys to Hawaii on a band trip. But anyway, we did try to stand the corn back up using strips of old sheets and T-post. I hope they take. We should know in a few days. Thanks again guys and gals
  4. My garden started out great. Lots of rain and sunshine. But now my pea's are shot, the tomato's and pepper plants are looking bad. Way too much rain. The leaves on the tomato plants are turning up. But my wife and I where trying to over look the tomato and pepper plants by looking at our corn. The corn is loving the rain. Until today. A storm came thru and flatened my corn. The ground is so soaked that we can't stand it back up. More storms is on the way. We count on our little garden to help feed us thru out the year. A person might not think that it helps that much but it does. And the price of produce is going sky high.... Whats a man to do
  5. If your back-up fan runs more than normal does not mean your power supply is going out. It simply means that your computer is running warmer so the fan will run to throw out the heat possibly because of warmer weather and/or your computer is dusty inside and needs to be blowed out. As far as the main problem goes, do you have a stand alone video card or is it integraded in your motherboard? If you have a video card open your case and see if the fan is running on the card itself. Make sure all your wires are connected to the card good and tight. I wish you lived near. I love tinkering with computers. But I bet its not your power supply.
  6. You can't go wrong with the A3 300 with the upgraded driver. I have one and its simply amazing.
  7. Both...... at the same time.
  8. I have really thick, tall carpet so I put a piece of plywood(painted it flat black to match my sub) under my sub. I think eD offers hour glass feet
  9. If eD offers a upgraded driver for alittle bit more, go for it. I got an A3 300 w/upgraded driver for $500 and I'm very happy with it.
  10. Elemental Design is another one to check out.
  11. Youthman, you are on top of your game. I wasn't trying to hijack this thread. But I did learn alot from it.
  12. I am not a Pro when it comes to audio and I worked constuction all my working years not wearing ear plugs when I should have. But the only difference I see in the RC62 and the RC64 is 2 more woofers and a different crossover. The crossover might make all the difference in the world but you still have the same tweeter. Please correct me if I wrong. I'm pretty ease.
  13. Yes. I, myself, have trouble with weak dialog watching a movie. I ran auto setup on my Yamaha RX V663 and it helped alot. But it set everything low(SPL) and I raised it and it sounds alot better. But I do agree that the RC-62 is lacking something major. I went from a Denon reciever to a Yamaha. Thats one extreme to another. I paid over $350 for that speaker that was suppose to match my RF62's and it dosen't really cut the cheese. I thought about getting another RF62, laying it on its side and hooking it up to my center channel just to get a good dialog. The RC-62 was not designed all that great. Even if its not dialed in right( SPL meters and the like), it should be in a ballpark range. The people who try to save some money and get the RC52, I bet they're not happy at all. That is all my system lacks is a remarkable center channel. So I too am wondering if a RC64 would help to make system sound complete?
  14. I was going to give you a link and have you look under power handling so you could check it out for yourself . http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/ksw-12.aspx. I don't think that sub has a 1000 watt amp. But then again I've had a few beers
  15. I've had my eD A3 300 for about 3 weeks now and it is great. It'll shake the piss out of the front room.500 bucks well spent. Aliens vs Predator is a movie with a lota booms in it. I want to thank TheEar for steering in that direction. Good call.
  16. You might post a thead in the subwoofer section of this forum. You might get a better response. All I'm saying is there is a lot of options in that price range so take your time and do your reviews. Good luck my friend.
  17. You have every right in the world to ask where the 63's are made. Before I bought my 62's I thought all Klipsch products were made in the good old USA but I was wrong.
  18. I have a Yamaha 663 and I love it. They push my 62's nicely. But then again as far as speakers and recievers go, I want the best of the best. And one day I will have it even if I have to buy one speaker at a time.
  19. You can choose a Canon or Nikon. They are both great DSLR camera's. But after you choose your camera, your pictures are only as good as your lens and that can run into some money. Also, when your looking at DSLR camera specs, be sure to look at the image sensor.
  20. I never had a sub so I have nothing to compare it to. But it is huge. 118lbs shipped. I got the upgrade driver for $30 more. It sound really good. Kinda like I have subs all around the room. Its amazing. I would post pictures but I'm on dial-up service.
  21. I changed it(manuel to manual). I had to look at "the book" to get it right.LOL
  22. When I got home from work my Yamaha RX V663 was waiting by the door. I got it hooked up and turned on the radio and could tell right then I was going to like it. It brings out the best in my speakers.I'm really proud of it. The manual is very confusing but I'll figure it out in time. And to top it off Fed Ex delivered my sub(eD A3 300) the day before that. I am happy as a lark. Thanks for all your help.
  23. I thought I could but wasn't sure. Thank you. And ....I can post some thoughts but the pictures is kinda hard on dial-up.24kbps. LOL.Thanks for your input.
  24. Please go to monoprice.com and checkout item #619 thru 621.
  25. My subwoofer(ED A3-300) is supposed to be here tomarrow and I have no sub cable yet. I ordered one from Blue Jean Cables but it won't be here in time. I have a Digital Coax cable I bought from wal-mart sometime back. Will it work for now?
