  1. yes it sure did make a big difference for the better for me.i've been using 75 watts of tube intergrated amp on them and am ready to go with seprates to move up to the next level in sound to get closer to place i'd like my music to be.
  2. playing them for fifty hours or so and their sounding very good.the highs are smoother the mids are clean and clear and now i have very good bass.just seems like they are a more balanced speaker.bigger soundstage .more open .clear from top to bottom.i no longer need my hsu 3 sub the bass changed that much.i running them with a jolida 801 and am looking to upgrade to seprates. i need a good tube preamp with remote .already tried one without one ,and 100 watt or so tube amp any idea would be appreciated. thanks again deang for the fine work you done
  3. sorry what i was meaning to say was they are already broken in.but the mids and bass is not what i expected.and the highs are clear but a little hard on the ear . i've been moving them around to get the right placement but no luck so far.
  4. i just purched a pair from a audio store i bought the pair they were using for ht demo so they are broken while they do sound very good a lot bigger sound .my rf35's had a little cleaner sound except maybe the highs.is this normal.i'm using all of the same equiptment as before with the 35's
  5. i'm not a long time member here and don't post much ,but i go through most of the posts tring to find something to help me better my little system and use that knowledge to get my music there.like ken he was chasing his dream to get to that place where his music made him feel whole.music can be so emotional and i think thats what the man enjoyed.i wasen't going to post anything. i turned off my computer and went listen to my music and something brought me back online to just say to ken and all his family through tears is i'm so sorry for you deep loss and please Lord give them peace to make it through the days till that peace is there.your a good man dean. thank you and amen.
  6. i dont know if anyone here would be intrested but i have a nad c162 preamp & a musical fildelity x-10v3 tube buffer for sale .both are in great condition .the nad is 3 months old and the tube buffer is 5 months old.i'm running a jolida amp now so no need to keep them just picking up dust in the closet. thought i'd offer them to the good people here first . $425.00 for the nad and $250.00 for the tube buffer . thanks glen
  7. thanks delano yes the tubes really did open up my rf35s .i noticed that myself its like the music is just playing and not from the speakers.and also before with the other setup it seemed as if the music was being forced out of the speakers.now it as if they are flowing into the room.go figure.i've decided to send the amp to craig and have him do some work on it when he has the time.and see what it sounds like then. thanks for the help....
  8. thanks for everyones input.i really like the 35s .they have the sound i enjoy.that and i've never heard any of the other klipsch speakers to compare them to.before i bought them i looked on ebay at some forte11 and felt why buy used just buy a new pair of klipsch.maybe one of these days i'll get the fortes. i went with the 70 watt jolida cause every now and then i enjoy cranking the power up on a few songs or three and figured the more power the better .and thanks craig for the advise on the upgrades and i would be intrested in what you could do and some price ranges if you have the time.read all the great things you've done with your tubes and upgrades.thanks again. my first tube experence and i'm already upgrading.lol..as of now i really do like what they have done for my speakers i had a hk avr 635 on them and they had a local sound to them. they have opened up a whole lot in the sound, more laid back and kind of mellow sounding.just a little to forward in the top end.small glitz on the road to great sound.
  9. hello i m new to the forum and have a pair of rf 35s and bought a used jolida jd 801a to pair with them .i really enjoy the sound of the rf 35s.the jolida came with all sovtek tubes and the highs & voices are to forward for my taste.could i get some advise on a decent kt 88 tube to lean out the highs and voices so they are not as forward if possibale .i am new to tubes and really do like what they do for klipsch speakers.thanks for any help i can get.
