  1. Well, it's Magic and Cavs in the East finals. Lakers are going to play the Nuggets. Sir Charles predicted the Magic to win over the Cavs and everyone disagreed with him. I think the Cavs are going to lose a game or two but without a doubt take the series. anyone else's opinions?
  2. Thanks fastlayne. I'll let you guys know how it works out. It comes tommorow.
  3. I have RF-5s and could not be happier. I like the look of the old woofers with the dust caps but maybe that's just me. You can get them for around 600-700.
  4. Thanks for the response. I'm more concerned about music anyway.
  5. Thanks JL, I really can't agree more. Lebron is young but has there ever been a combo like him? Passing, Driving, shooting?
  6. Trust me as far as mid-range goes Yamaha is the clear choice. Pioneer is a brand that has put their brand over their performance. Kind of like Bose but not nearly as bad.Yamaha makes better than their specs, Pioneer sells on their hot automotive market. It appeals to the 16-24 year old crowd. Believe me, I've had a Pioneer amp; Yamaha smacks it.
  7. Buy a 04-05 subaru wrx sti and put the speakers in the back seats.
  8. Does anyone have a RT-10d? Let me get thoughts on it.
  9. Sell me the rc-7 for 300 and enjoy your 2 channel music machine.
  10. I have no idea for a direct replacement but dayton does make a quality 8 inch subwoofer. I have no idea if it would fit and you would need to buy 2. I can't do the math but I'm sure if they both fit the sound would be improved. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=295-480
  11. Hey everyone. I'm wondering how you think the playoffs are going to go. Right now I see the Lakers beating the rockets in the semis, but I think Denver is going to give them a great run and have a good chance to win the conference finals. In in the east I think it's pretty hard to call, Boston is lacking a LOT of things but they just seem to always stay in the runnings. I was raised in Cleveland and am very happy with the way the cavs are playing. I used to be pretty afraid of a Lakers-Cavs matchup in the finals but now I'm more worried about having the play the Nuggets in the finals. I just don't see what depth people are talking about when they speak of the Lakers bench. I think the Cavaliers have a far deeper bench and play harder because of the chemistry between the team, I've never seen a team that has so much fun and supports each other like they do. I'm excited to see how it plays out and I hope Cleveland can finally bring a title to the city. What about you guys? P.S. Lebron is a monster []
  12. Hey everyone. I just got a RT-10d in good condition for $620 dollars. Was it a smart decision to take it over a RSW-12 for 550 plus shipping? It will be mostly used for music. Thanks for the input.
  13. I live in southern california and I can tell you that costco has good deals. From 46" 1080p LCDs to cases of water they're the best i've found here as far as deals go. On a side note their packs of steaks are very good. Some of the best sirloin cuts i've seen.
  14. Hello Klipschsters; I'm looking to build a HT and I could use some guidance. I've got RF-5s for floorstanders and now I need a center channel and surrounds to build my ht. Would the rc-52 be enough to keep up with the RF-5s? I'm never going to have them running near their max output. Also, would a pair of RB-51s do justice to the surrounds channels? I'm also looking into a rsw-12 for the subwoofer. Would a RSW-10 or RW-12 be able to keep up? Thanks in advance.
  15. Yamaha for sure, much better quality reciever. I have my Yamaha RX-V659 paired with my RF-5s and it sounds amazing. Makes more power than it's rated too! 120wpc in stereo. Here's a review that can attest to the outstand quality and value: http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/receivers/yamaha-rx-v659
  16. Don't hook them up to a sony reciever; no reciever could handle those. Get a 500watt class A amp and go from there.
  17. Bump. Any suggestions, we have it right?
  18. Oh, sorry I didn't know you ordered it. You should be overjoyed with that. Hell of a deal, good job!
  19. Merry christmas, that will run circles over a polk 10". Get it while you can. Lower extension, less distortion: I can't think of a reason not to jump on that! Do it while you can!
  20. I've been looking for a budget ($50-200) cd player with quality output. Someone please help me out?
  21. I don't mean to be a troll but pioneer reciever quality is just lacking. I'd invest in a nice Denon, HK, Yamaha.
  22. Hey, could anyone please help me with a (cheap) cd player with good output quality? thanks guys!
  23. Sub-12 with those will sound very good; for the price difference over the sub-10 it's an easy call for me, will play deeper and louder.
  24. Yeah, i've got the sub. So 9 cubic foot w/ that port would be good?
  25. So I just used WINISD to try and get a box design. I couldnt find the "Z" and "PE" parameters of my sub so i'm not sure how much that affected it. Using .018 meter board, It came up with a ported box 27w x 45h x 17d with a 4 inch port, 7 inches long. Flat response down to 20 hz, down 3db at 16.6 hz, down 6db at 14.7hz and down 10db at 13hz. Look about right? Did I mess it up?
