Boxx was a wine aficionado I believe … not sure what his favorite bottle was. If Tigerman stops by, he can answer that -- he and Boxx talked about wine often.

I was kicked off a jury (although that probably doesn’t surprise any of you). Last time that i got a summons, i sent them a copy of my hearing test results and told them that i’d be happy to serve; but, they’re going to have to say everything twice at least … I was excused.

a long while back, i turned on some tunes and was surfing through the RTM thread reading up on what everyone had been listening to and talking about. I noticed that earlier that day Boxx’s theme was Queen. Now, i’ve been accused of liking their music once or twice, so i gave Boxx’s post a “Like” and complimented him on his selections that day. He replied “I thought of you when i put them on.” i distinctly remember reading that…and thinking that someone a thousand or so miles away was playing Queen and thinking, “Steve would love this one.” Much like i can’t see or hear a Dos Equis commercial now, seeing the most interesting man in the world and not think of Boxx. For reasons that i won’t get into now, i disappear from time-to-time. For the past two years or so, guys that are still on this forum like Tarhill, Oldtimer, Tigerman, Rick they’ve all reached out and extended friendship. We’re not a bad bunch…but eventually i’d like to be married again and be able to say “Klipsch Forum…what’s that?”

I suspect we’d get along Carl…just the other day i was visiting relatives. They were all hanging out on the back porch talking. I went out there and every single one of them got up and went inside. I stood there and LOUDLY complimented myself on still being able to clear a room. I had a dachshund who could do that. Must have had the same diet as my brother-in law alright, i’m getting a little slow…i just realized where you were all going with my comment. IT WASN’T DUE TO THAT (although “that” did happen later in the evening).

Thanks for the explanation Fjd. By the way, I wasn’t meaning that you were boring…just money, benefits, insurance…all that grown up stuff just bores me. i have three pensions and can’t hardly explain a one of them…as long as i can keep buying guitars i just figure everything is fine in the world.

Greeting Friends and Welcome … The Lord allots us a certain number of days in this life—it would do us well to take the time to do some serious self-examination as to how we are going to use them. If we choose to spend our lives solely in pursuit of selfish gain, always putting ourselves above others – this room will be empty when our time ends. Boxx chose a vocation that has the goal of helping others. Why? I wish I could have sat with him, listening to tunes and talking about life; perhaps then I’d know what made him such a kind, caring soul. So I will just consider Boxx to have been a blessing. One of those people that you meet and walk away knowing something good just happened to you. Just because Boxx was a forum friend, doesn’t make him any less a friend. If we’re genuine, so are the friendships that we form here. Undoubtedly, if it had been one of us, Boxx would have been one of the first to say something poignant. He contributed greatly to this forum, whether it was a kind word or an epic .gif – he was here, for all of us. Miles away; but, still reaching out. Words can’t fully ease the heartache that we feel right now – I don’t think they’re supposed to. Words aren’t magic. There is a lesson in our pain. Boxx was a teacher and through his passing may he continue to teach us to value our friendships. May he teach us that we must not take for granted our time, our purpose, our relationships—none of which we created, none of which we own; but all of which have been entrusted to us. May he teach us that we are all just passing through this life and we should strive to leave each other in a better condition than when we met. Mourn, it’s okay to do that; but, don’t only mourn—I suspect that Boxx would want us to smile when we remember him. He tried to make the lives of others better … and he succeeded. I salute you Boxx. I miss you, and I’m grateful to have known you my friend. Steve

I generally don’t watch the news and finances really bores me so correct me if i’m wrong here … if the oil companies are purchasing the product that they’re refining at a cheaper cost, and the selling price drops proportionally--wouldn’t their profit remain constant? I mean, it’s not like they’re paying the same price for crude and being forced to drop gas prices. Right?
