  1. dont' stop now, it was just getting exciting...what kind of soft drink?
  2. OB was slow to dish out compliments. except for his beloved rolling stones! i miss teasing him about them.
  3. Yeah that caught me off guard too. I sure miss OB--he was a real cool dude. I'll never forget a few years back, when i posted that me and my wife were divorcing--having only communicated with OB via this forum and never in person, right away he was inviting me to come stay at his place for awhile to chill out.
  4. I think they're exporting them from California. we still have a few regular people left here in california. Present company excluded. I have managed to age without growing up--and most women my age, seem to want to date someone that acts their age. Eventually i'll find a woman that's still a punk like me, and i hope she can do hot sauce shots!

  6. hopefully i will. just had my annual physical today-- nailed it. I'm actually getting healthier as i get older. Doc said my lab work was a picture perfect blood test. everything looks good--except the hearing. Report from the ENT categorized my hearing loss as "profound." Good thing i have a powerful amp and efficient speakers, huh? Hope you all have a great holiday weekend. Steve
  7. at my size, i can't get into them. i wish i could, sounds like fun zipping around the room in a train.
  8. that is a very big bottle of wine.
  9. once again, a big congratulations to you, her, and the entire family. i'm happy for you all. steve
  10. i had an MRI of my neck and forgot to empty my pants pockets. went to the grocery store later that day and my card wouldn't work. The clerk said jokingly..."have you been around any large magnets lately?" it was inconvenient; but, funny.
  11. nice to see you around Chuck. I sure hope that you're doing okay. Steve
  12. best wishes to you and your family ben. hope the wedding goes wonderfully. steve
  13. still nobody around and i'm boring myself...so i'll leave the light on and go. Steve
  14. what a great find congratulations. Never thought of finding a tube amp that way--i must keep my eyes open for old consoles in the future.
  15. this is very sad news. I love Glen Campbell. He is an incredible guitarist. Back in the 60s, he was one of the most sought after session musicians in the business, and was part of the famed Wrecking Crew (a group of the best session musicians which included carol kaye on bass). I will catch his show if he's comes near socal for sure.
  16. Always glad to speak to a fellow Yes fan! Fragile is a good album; but, my personal favorite, by far, is Close to the Edge. I've met Rick Wakeman and actually got an email from him several months ago (okay, he was just replying to mine; but, still it was an email from my second favorite musician...Brian May is my favorite). No doubt there records are great when you consider that Yes was made up of superstars in a way. Wakeman one of the best, Steve Howe has always been ranked as one of the best guitarist, and Chris Squire is a top notch bass player. Glad you enjoyed it.
  17. come to think of it, the person that signed my speaker during factory inspection used black ink and not blue ink. How dare klipsch try to pull something like that. personally, i don't care if they make them out of playdough--as long as they sound good.
  18. Marshall--i want all the toys and commercial trappings that you don't want. oh yeah, i would have liked you to have thrown an extra steak on the grill for me too []
