  1. that is better than the mrs. using the speaker as a plant stand.
  2. i wonder if they're talking about this thread in the private area? "why are they asking and what do they want to know?"
  3. i guess i unknowingly hit a soft soft...my apologies. believe it or not, it was a serious question. i had seen people listed as being in a "private area" and was just curious, not whinning. if you read my posts, i rarely ask/answer questions in a completely serious way. so, please know i wasn't trying to "start anything."
  4. marvel-how are you going to explain the duck when going through customs? Man, you're taking a big risk there...you're my hero! a close friend of mine, from my coast guard days, has married a girl from the philipines--he's been there several times now and is considering moving there. my cousin visited ireland and loved it. don't think either of them tried to enter the country with a duck though...could be interesting.
  5. http://www.professorsplash.com/dive/home.asp He just broke his own world record. 35.5 feet into 12" of water. I'll buy the wading pool if any member wants to break this record next pilgrimage. p.s. how do i post a link that you just have to click on?
  6. i can't remember if the 100th post is the secret handshake or the secret decoder ring? Perhaps Doc will chime in--he's the resident time traveller.
  7. Daddy...that is quite an impressive box...are you suggesting that the box & manuel aren't worth that price?
  8. what is the dues to gain entrance to the "Private Area" of the forum? I've been a Klipsch owner since 1983...do i have to wash Amy's Rolls Royce? Buy a round at the Pilgrimage?
  9. I;ve seen a lot of herseys for sale...i'm thinking about an all hersey ht. anyone hear one before? i have a set of hersey 1 already.
  10. you must have been playing one of those rolling stones dvds.....just teasing you my friend. don't forget...QUEEN rules.
  11. which band/performer would you select if you could ONLY listen to their stuff for the rest of your life? my choice...QUEEN
  12. never saw any of these before. they look a little beat up. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/msg/733651605.html
  13. Hey -- I just sent you an email. I'll do what I can.
  14. yes, I've been watching. my entire basketball life has been as a laker fan; but, they're soft. without bynum in the middle, they are strictly a perimeter team and any decent player in the paint is going to have success. Phil Jackson doesn't seem to be adjusting to create some mismatches; but, he's won about 900 more games than I have. Still rooting for them; but, I think they are done. Lamar Odom had the quarter of his life; then disappeared...again. Offensively--they're fine; but, defensively they need some work.
  15. have you checked the configuration.sys file? sorry amy couldn't resist...that was a line from an 80's Mac commercial. a guy is doing a presentation and his computer fails--the audience is computer geeks and everyone starts yelling out suggestions. good luck and i hope you get all of your pictures back.
  16. on a recent cruise, they had English Bacon--very good; but, I would have just called it a round piece of ham. suddenly a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich is sounding real tasty...oh wait, the tomatoes are tainted (at least out west) don't watch the news much so i don't know how widespread the salmonella outbreak is. went to a hot dog place for lunch today, they had a sign up saying that they were no longer serving tomatoes until the outbreak is over.
  17. yeah--i remember many years ago, we'd have visitors from the East Coast and they always wanted to buy a case of Coors to take back home. Too bad they didn't take ALL of it with them.
  18. michigan avenue walk won't disappoint. my only advice--the sears tower is farther away than it looks. fun city to walk around.
  19. i've got a pair of heresy 1 that i bought back in early 1984. what is the cost of new crossovers and is that a complicated job or can any semi-smart person do it?
  20. i was watching some sort of quasi-documentary the other day on t.v., the guy opened his fridge and it was packed with HAMMS--do they even make that stuff anymore? i remember liking the commercials when i was a kid, as a teenager I asked my brother in law to buy me some and he did--the commericals were better than the taste.
  21. I was standing on the corner, and one of these cruised by...interesting looking at first; but, then i realized that i liked it. http://spyder.brp.com/
  22. all i know is that I just $3.18 for regular unleaded at AM & PM which is usually one of the cheapest around. Ridiculous, I took a very short trip this weekend and spent $90 in gasoline. Maybe I'll get one of those Can Am Spyders...those things look like so much fun.
  23. It won't be the same without Bird, and Magic, and company .............. but, I'll watch, .... Beat Kobe !!!!!!!!!! OB--this is the second topic ever that we disagree on (sorry, the Stones need to retire). Kobe is awesome and it was really cool to see him finally grasp the benefits of right leadership (now if my boss would only understand it) that is what I loved about my military training--I learned that you can lead, accomplish the mission, and it doesn't have to be a drag. We spend too much time together at work for it to be a bad atmosphere. so it was cool seeing those young men having fun while they were having a good season. by the way, i can make that Stones comment because I was at their Farewell Tour in 1982 []
