It's got to be in the mid

To All, I am really dissed by these speakers. I am the product of two opera singers and can hear. My question is how do you correct them.!? They are great on highs and right on the money on lows. Where is the mid????? ( My perspective ) Has anyone modified the x-over and added a mid? If so, what mid and mods. to the x-over did you do? I can read/understand schematics/pictorials. Any help would be appreciated.
