  1. I haven't cranked my Pros up in a while playing really bassy stuff...maybe that's the reason...shock over the power of the Pros. Maybe it's just my configuration combined with the above. Let's continue the quest for the ultimate bass music.

It's good to be back to the forums.

  2. The thread will never die, but maybe they might just have to devote an entire server to it (unless they're already doing that). It's good customer relations and all. (Klipsch is the best..) They'll probably have to do some kind of paid subscription thing with this thread or triple the banners. " TARGET=_blank]http://216.37.9.58/ubb/cwmsmilies/cwm40.gif

  3. I know everyone here has been arguing on the best bass song to play on their Pros. They've been saying THX bass tests and stuff like that, and those are fine, but I would recommend something I just got done finished listening to. Talk about some ear bleeding bass! cwm32.gif

It's the James Bond Theme (Drum n' Bass Remix) by moby. It's 7 minutes and 40 seconds of killer bass. I only had my Pros' sub set at the THX mark, and it was great. Anyway, just thought I'd share that with everyone. Tell me what you think.

  4. Thank you very much! I'm amazed that that's all it took. Stupid me.cwm32.gif Paragon will appreciate this info too.

Now I'll just have to find another convienient place to put the Pro. Smile.gif

    Thank you very much!!

  5. Best buy support sucks.

Don't buy anything that's over $150 there. I learned the hard way...

But yeah, just call the number and get mad at them. If nothing happens, then (I'm serious) threaten them by saying you are going to call your lawyer. You don't have to actually call your lawyer or anything, though. Corporations hate lawsuits. They'll do anything to avoid them even if they are sure they can win them. It worked with me with IBM. I went straight to the head of the tech support department.

  6. Join the crowd.

Glad you have money to buy an entire new set of Pros, but sadly mine aren't under warranty anymore. That year goes pretty fast.

No hiss or bottoming out or even crackle yet, though. All I have is just a wierd problem with the mouse moving making one of the rear speakers make noise. Anyway, I'm OT now. If you want to hear about that problem, it's in the other post.

Best of luck to all of you.

  7. Hey

Seems this happens to quite a few people on this board (don't forget that the majority of people on this board come to this board because they have problems, not everyone that owns Pros).

You'll find very detailed information and advice from the Techs on this subject if you just use the search link at the top and search the forum for "Speaker Static" or something like that.

    Hope this helps.

    Sam

  8. I hate my computer. I wish that I would have bought anything different. Stupid compaq. It doesn't even have an AGP slot. Grr. cwm23.gif

    Actually, Pagagon:

I can't hear it with headphones in and the speakers muted (CP-1ish).

Unplugging and plugging in the mouse has no effect (except that when it's unplugged there's no sound - it only happens when the mouse moves).

I've got the logitech in there right now, but I'll have to try it with a different mouse (it's connected on the mouse port)

Justin, did you ever try anything that made it go away for awhile? How bad was it? Mine started out that you could only hear it if your ear pointing to it, and now it's very noticable.

Again, this has been happening on and off for a while now. I was going to send the speakers in, but then it stopped happening. Later, it came back but went away again, and now it's back (even worse then last time). Just so everyone knows.

  9. I have a SB Live (x-gamer 5.1) and a Compaq (Logitech) mouse. It's happened for a while and I've tried uninstalling the mouse but it doesn't help. I'll have to check as to which port the sound card is on.

Also, sometimes it switches to the rear left speaker as well (like now).

I've got it into a surge strip (the best I could find without buying a UPS system) and I've even moved the locations of the computer and speakers from one room to another, and it doesn't help. I'll still have to change the port for the sound card sometime and see if that helps, though.

The speaker wires and everything are all in tight.

  10. I've had this problem for a while, and have just ignored it, but it's just getting annoying.

When I move the mouse at all, with each pixel the rear right speaker makes a small clicking noise. When I stop moving the mouse it stops. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

    Thanks.
