  1. I'm looking at Rc-35/52/62's for my first speaker upgrade, and just wanted to know if there is a noticeable difference between the 35 and 52 since they are similar in specs. The Rc-62 is more expensive but diggs a little deeper, should I really be looking at bass reproduction when selecting a center speaker?

    S/PDIF

I currentley own a http://us.dfi.com.tw/Product/xx_product_spec_details_r_us.jsp?PRODUCT_ID=2840&CATEGORY_TYPE=MB&SITE=US with onboard S/PDIF and need to run a cable about 30' throughout my room to reach a denon 2805,now can i just use a way cheaper rca cable or do I need the digital coax to keep higher then cd quality mp3's intact? wouldent the receiver convert the signal to analog before outputting it anyway? (cant seem to post a link anymore sorry)
  3. I got the volume pot today, threw it in and still can't controll the volume.I want to take the sub apart but not sure what to look for.
  4. balls? sorry I had to [:$] Thats ok I would have taken a shot too.Since I got the sub I already want to upgrade my center and L/R speakers from the Rsx's to pickup some mids, maby use them in a 7.1 becouse they are very crisp speakers. This whole audio, home theater is just like owning a Jeep, you break something and endup replacing the part with something bigger, better, stronger(more expensive)
  5. Does anyone actually run their subs at max?quality subs
  6. The cheater plug meaning an isolator between the sub and my spdif cable?Ill try the qwest box iso first and see what happens. Is it better to put a iso on the tv out or network in Ill try them seperate and see tomorrow. This sub is ratteling things that I didint know I had.
  7. I disconnected the TV out,and network in from my qwest box and it stopped...research... ...
  8. When the movie is paused should I be hearing a humm from the sub?
  9. The sub arrived on hour ago,and it works perfectly (volume pot disconnected) at full volume,no scrathes or dings, even smells good(must have not been a smoker. While listening to the radio its hitting very low and hard with hardley any volume, and the only thing thats acceptable is rap/house music in that category, everything else sounds way too bassy.Right now my Rsx's are turned all the way up +12db,and the sub at -12db on the receiver, still too much but not muddy (maby alittle) Im getting the volume controll hopefully tomorrow and its going down more then half.I am very happy with this purchase, and am obout to watch Fantastic four(only movie I have right now)future movies will be Top Gun,Matrix123 ect...getting the online blockbuster pass. The movie just started and in a 12'/10' room it sounds siiiiiccckkkk.
  10. I called Klipsch about the volume controll pot,and its a $5 part.I was told the sub can be ran without the volume controll(disconnected)since its only used to turn down the sub,and just controll it through the receiver.I ordered the part and should be here along with the sub monday,I'll let you know how it works out.
  11. Cool I'm glad to hear that,I'll be calling klipsch in the morning about that. How does the RW-12 compare to the SUB-12 in sound, quality besides 21hz to 24hz.
  12. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&item=120005059149&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 Its in the question section pod?
  13. Thanx for the input everyone, and the links are golden.I'm slowly picking up the technical aspects of the audio world. My DIY project is still six months away,so I made an impulse buy on ebay today, let me know what you think. Its a RW-12" for $192 and the seller states:the sub works but at a very low volume, with the pod disconnected from the amp it plays at full volume, and cant turn it down.I can fix almost anything but how much will I have to spend to get it working right.Good or bad buy???
  14. F3??? Just off their site,bottom chart http://www.tcsounds.com/lms4000.htm
