Haha I see. I was expecting people to tell me to upgrade my receiver or get an amp. Guess not! How much difference does a receiver or amp make anyways?

So I now have the following: KG 5.5's with Crites titanium domes on the K-85-K tweeters Yamaha RX-V459 HTPC with passthrough S/PDIF source (Radiient Europa as surround and Infinity Primus C25 as center, yea mismatch but I'm not too worried about these for now) Sounds pretty good to me, but I don't feel satisfied. What would you guys do next?

If anyone possibly has a KG 5.5 Crossover please let me know. I am looking to redo the crossover with better caps. Thanks!

Ah ok that makes sense, but where should the be? On the two sides? On the back? In a V shape? or just random as they are?

I've noticed there's these two pieces of foam floating around in each of my KG 5.5's doing what looks like, absolutely nothing. They're not attached to the wall or anything, just floating around randomly. Do these actually serve any purpose at all?

Thanks for the advice. Also I measured the tweeter with an ohmeter. Sure enough it reads around 4.6. The good one reads around 8.6. I also took it apart and it doesn't seem to be damaged at all. BEC, I sent you an email a little while ago. Thanks! David

nope it was just really tight. Pliers did the trick. So I did the swap and now the problem is in the other speaker. Instead of Clapton's voice coming from the left, it's now coming from the right. I guess it's safe to say that the horn is the problem. So what's the next step?

Um ok, this might seem dumb, but I can't pull the spade plugs off either of them. I could use pliers to loosen them but I don't want to screw up the shape of the plug. What would be a good way to do this...
