  1. Yeah I've had my eye on an SVS 25-31 PCi for quite a while. From all the posts and reviews I read I think that should be more that addequite for all the bass I need and then some. And of course I'll have to get an RC-3 to round out the 5.1 package. I've looked at some online dealers for purchases and I've heard that SoundDistributors.com is pretty good and also authorized. I will most definantly audtion the RB-3's first though at a local dealer.
  2. I'm looking into buying a pair of Klipsch RF-3 II's and I was wondering if in the future it would sound ok to use the RB-3's as surrounds. I've heard of people using RB-5's and the reason I ask about the 3's is because they are smaller, I'm in an apartment, and also they are cheaper. I have pretty much ruled out the RS-3's all together just becuase of the shape and all. My main concern I guess is that the RB-3's will be too small and will lack enough sound to keep up with my mains. Let me know what you all think. Steve
  3. Wow, some interesting choices, collective soul eh? hm, to each his own I guess, heh. A Perfect Circle - Judith(remix) Nine Inch Nails - Closer Godsmack - Voodoo Tool - pick one, they all have cool bass Outkast - So Fresh, So Clean and others Lo-Fidelity Allstarts - Battleflag (just a cool song) also this song called Stomp To My Beat, can't remember who it's by. oh and as for napster, try doing a search on just the song name, people edit the name of the artist so that they wont get blocked. should get better results. getting my pros for my b-day in a few days, can't wait, peace outs
  4. Yeah my rooms is about that if not smaller, that sounds like what I'll go with. The RS-3's look would just look way to big hanging from the wall. not too mention the quintets can be had for much cheaper. I just hope the black quintets don't look too tacky with my new maple blonde rf-5's and my sub, when I get them that is, hehe =) Cheers steve
  5. CarlV - How do the quintets do as surrounds for such big front speakers? I'm planning on a setup similar with maybe the new RF-5's when they come out and quintets for rears because of space constraints, I'm in an apt. I will also add a 12 or 15" sub. Just curious how the effects sound and if the large fronts overpower your rears, thanks. steve
  6. I don't know if any of you are familiar with the website, but I frequent it daily. I got really excited when I saw the picture of the reference line(the one out now) and a review included. I pretty much trust the editors at this site for reviewing anything honestly, so it was nice to see them give klipsch a good rating. anyways the link. enjoy. here's
  7. So can someone tell me this, I'm on the verge of buying my speakers and reciever, I think I've decided on the Yahama RX-V800 for the reciever, I heard the rf-3's along with the ksw-12 coupled with this reciever and loved the power and warm sound. Here I find this post about the new line, hm, I wonder, would it be worth my while and my saved money to wait and get some rf-5's and a rsw-12, rather than the previously mentioned setup. the black wood finsih is almost tempting enough in itself actually!
