  1. All looks GREAT Paul ! Thanks for sharing the photos of your project . Best wishes for YEARS of continued vinyl spinnin' yet to come! 🍷
  2. Wanted to share the installation of the new tubes and the violin now mounted on the wall with a brand new bow .
  3. ....and vibe shot from the Hall, and photo showing the Verve center label on Side B.
  4. Good evening everyone. Well, at days end, it is time to relax here in LFM Hall and continue my tribute to Tony Bennett whom passed away today. This album is a celebration of Gershwin with the Diana Krall and Bill Charlap Trio. Recorded in 2018 in NYC. at Jimmy Hendrick's studio (Electric Ladyland), where my 80ies career rock band recorded TWICE! Listening to the sweet sounds of the Willsenton integrated now outfitted completely with JJ. Electronics tubes (latest rolling) including EL-34 outputs driving the Forte' 4's. Here is the cover art. Inner sleave photo.... Rear cover art.....
  5. Very nice and smooth arrangement MM. I also found their last note interesting being the first and second notes of the scale (whole step apart) Just got back from the market, so I will be spinning what I believe his last duo album.
  6. ...Side TWO and a vibe photo as a light rain falls. More in a bit.
  7. Hello friends..........glad to make it back with a bit of vinyl listening. It was a somewhat saddening morning when I learned of the passing of Tony Bennett. So, today - Friday- I am doing a little tribute with the two albums from my library. To start, the living room system / Bang and Olufsen with UTurn Custom and Klipsch RP-600m standmounts. I will return after I go to the market and spin the other recording from Music Hall. RIP Tony 🍷
  8. Thanks for the kind words John. Hurry and join in with YOUR photos. Ok, going to cross over to a few digital tracks to enjoy these new tubes, then head to bed. I hope to be back soon. Take it easy, and that goes for ALL in this great group !
  9. Oh HECK, for you John, I kicked it up a notch !
  10. Thank you John. Always fun to come visit here 🍷. Appreciate everyone spending a little time going through my detailed postings .
  11. ....spinnin' Side B at the moment. OH, I ment to mention, I run the Willsenton in 'triode' mode. Amp runs 20 watts pc. and is PLENTY for the Klipsch F'4s...
  12. On the Rega ready to go..... ....and the VIBE photo for this listening session... Glass of Pinot Gregio, I'm set
  13. Fast forward to what is happening here in the Hall tonight. Decided to pull this classic out, bought back in the day...........these EL34 valves have really warmed up the Forte' 4's. They say the 'queen of midrange' tubes will really sweeten up the sound. I can't agree more, it is true .
  14. Here, I put out the tubes for a visual to see their size differences.... Do NOT touch the bottle Aaah, that after glow........bias all set, and ready for a first listen.....
  15. Good evening friends! Well, been a while since my last visit, BUT, I have new NEWS! Seems I decided to see what all the rage was about EL34 tubes. So, I decided for the first time to do some tube rolling with the Willsenton R8. Happily, Viva (my go to tube store) is only a 6 minute drive from my home. But, online orders only, which turns out to be next day arrival which is fine. So, here are some fresh photos from what went on here yesterday afternoon.... From the Slovak Republic, a matched quad of these! Willsenton KT's before getting pulled....Look at these robust ceramic sockets!Unwrapping the very first EL34 from the matched quad.More in the next posting.....
  16. Ok John and 'Amped', I am now onto Side 2 of disc 2. Bidding you a good evening, and as always, good to be back here now and again with music from the Hall... Good night to all 🌙...................................................
  17. Meanwhile, SECOND LP, Side A being 'Discwashed' (pay no mind to my chapped hands..........been so DRY here in the NE !)
  18. You had the written score for orchestra? WOW!
  19. Got it! Yes, I just checked my order sheet which I keep with the LP's for reference. Picked this one up June 9, 2014 and was $34.99 back 9 years ago. Not sure if still available and what price. You certainly would enjoy this one. Sounding good with tubes and horns tonight .
  20. Thank you JOHN! Appreciate you hangin' here tonight and enjoying an adult libation with me! This is from one of the later StarWars movies. Date on this one is 2013. Record ordered from Music Direct where I bought the Rega. It is really a good orchestra sound considering it was recorded at ABBY Road studios and Skywalker Sound Stage.
  21. ...Side Two, and OM-2 doing a great playback with this wonderfully recorded movie soundtrack.
  22. And as always, a bit of atmospherics here in the 'Hall'. The Willsenton R8 with the Klipsch Forte' 4's this evening and a glass of chilled Chardonnay, CHEERS 🍷
  23. ...rear cover artwork... ...In the gatefold...
  24. Good evening my friends! As always, been a while, but getting a nice SPIN in tonight. It is Freestyle Friday over in RTM. So, tonight it is a nice 180 gram, double LP of John Williams music! ...on the Rega RP-6 with Ortofon OM-2 Blue cart.
  25. Ok, checked out some of the very fine 'plays' and gave out the likes and laughs. It is MONDAY here, and I am not doing much.....HOWEVER, I just got my latest order in from U-Turn. The stylus gage AND an anti static brush. I can leave the brush on with the livingroom system, and the old DiscWasher system with the Rega in the Hall... I'll try to get some vinyl spinning in with you all soon. Cheery cheers my friends 🍷
