  1. The vino was from our usual Thursday night after choir rehearsal pizza eatery....... We had enough left to enjoy with the varied starter course...
  2. This is a bit more of a close photo........... Various exotic olives, some with HOT Thai, roasted and crushed chilis which I roasted. Some hot pepper and pickled garlic, along with a fine cheese, rustic crustini crackers. AND..................heaven help me, chicken LIVER Pate'!! (Whole Foods) yeah, Chris decided to cheat and go outside the box on his vegetarinism [:S] I stayed away... And, a very fine Whole Foods offering, which are those lovely Thai spring rolls with a very flavourful peanut sauce for dipping! YUMMY !
  3. We open our dinner time with a rather large spread of little bowls for nosh.........
  4. Ok, tonight it was Chris up at the new gas range for a nearly, from scratch Motzo Ball soup...........here goes. This photo jumps right to the simmering soup in his favorite (and one of mine) 12" saute' pans.. More to come....
  5. Hello and thanks for the update on your dinner Jhoak [] always appreciate the effort! Now, I have my photos ready to deliver from tonight's Jewish dinner offering..........post coming up NEXT! ........Gary
  6. GREAT Boxx, I knew you would be interested, it is smooth enough as an after dinner wine WITHOUT accomp. not too sweet, but just plain nice, but then again, that is just my take............Hope you can pick it up and give it a taste. I am MOST interested in your thoughts, OR, anyone else here on the forum that takes the lead [] .........Gary
  7. Here is a brand new VINO that is JUST picked up at our local liquor store in town Dec. 7, 2012 This one is from our old 'friend' Bogle vineyards and SHOULD be available at yours as well.. This one is a blend of ALL their wines we love and it surely holds up to its mission, 'Juicey' [] I LOVE the rustic label which is a take off from their 'old vine' Zin ... Resonably priced at only $10.95 here in MA. Enjoy if you can.... ..........Gary
  8. Audio Android, you have another Pmail from me in return [] .......Gary
  9. Very nice Sunburn! Yet another VERY spacious room. I LOVE the Velodyne product and I bet that one in your system fills the room COASTING !! I have been the proud owner of an F-1500-R for many years and it does just enough for my small space, but its REAL forte' is getting all the way down to 16Hz. which is the bottom note of a 32' CCCC on the pipe organ if so equipped! [Y] Enjoy... .........Gary
  10. K'Horn 4..............that is a very spacious room. I would LOVE to hear the K'horns breath a bit in a large space such as yours, where as mine are really too big and cramped in my little theater..... Just complimentin' ........Gary
  11. Hey there Audio Android, thanks so much for your compliment!, How far is Ridgfield from Holyoke MA. ? Why not take a drive up, bring your favorite 'software' and spend the day gettin' lost in here [] Send me a Pmail and we can make an arrangement for a music appreciation visit. .........Gary
  12. Great on the shakin' ! I hear you there [] Its one of those after movie, go around and straighten all the portraits routine []
  13. Looks good as always Youthman! I noticed the sound treatment on the rear wall.......those bright and shiney surfaces make reflections that are sometimes unwanted... (ooops, got to get a contactor's level on that one [] ) .......Gary
  14. The other angle showing the right channel....
  15. You may have seen before elsewhere on the site...........but here the (1967) K'Horns now living in this intimate little theater [H]
  16. Thank you Boxx ! Yes, loving the new range! Just installed a stainless steel 'recirc' hood over my workstation at the other end of the kitchen. Its funny, it really IS two kitchens in one now. All that is needed is a small prep sink installed next, and this would complete things nicely. But yes, Chris enjoyed putting together those dishes and of course, use of the range. My job as you saw was just getting the ingredients prepped for his use... Christmas dinner will be HERE, and both cook stations will be in use at the same time.. [] Again, thank you for stopping by [Y] ...........g
  17. Thanks Germerikin (sorry I misplaced your name....) for the lovely compliments on the tradition and our hosts' home.. We were just commenting over breakfast about what a great time it was... []
  18. And finally, I decided to take a photo of all THREE grand pianos! There have been occasions where they were ALL in use at the same time... The house was built specifically for the weight of these pianos in this large music room. I took a look downstairs to find STEEL I BEAMS in rows under the floor with extra columns. Well, there you have it fellow food lovers. This is how we spend our Thankgiving each year, and the guest list varies each season.... Christmas is here at my place, but for a much smaller group... Hope you enjoyed the 'holiday foodie tour' ........Gary
  19. Some afterdinner entertainment by guests and hosts. Eight hands at these two grand pianos did up a rousing version of Sousa's Stars and Stripes! It was very impressive hearing these four musicians SIGHT READ on the spot !
  20. Ahhhh, the dessert table........ there were some nice homemade items and great stuff from Whole Foods as well..........wonderful [] Oh yeah, and another large stack of those nice gold rimmed plates [H] Those yellow tags by each dessert tell which is which...
  21. And now, dinner is ready and the guests gather 'round to fill their plates (and those are some fine plates too!)
  22. And as always, one of the very fine wines are hosts were serving [Y]
  23. Yes, turkey is in the mix, along with baked califlower with Indian spices, all the potatoes, gravy etc... Always a fine feast...
  24. More of the offerings, including the baked brussel sprouts which DID NOT last long !
  25. The center island in the large kitchen is now all setup with the dishes each guest brought. You can see in the lower right, the risoto dish and the optional cheese and parsley in bowls just beside it... Note the ham and other tasty offerings..... []
