  1. Ben, Look at the local music store to see if they have used pro amps. I just picked up a 450Wpc QSC for $175.
  2. <<< Remember they let the folks that took care of this place go...IT for VOX will be gone on 4/1 and no one it driving this ship right now. Once the new owners get in charge...we will see what happens.>>>
  3. what would make them better for home use? ALL FRONT KPT need network work for the x curve.
  4. I paid $50 for the one I have... Not worth any more.
  5. Yes. that woofer should read about 4 Ohms...Just like EVERYOTHER Klipsch speaker. You are reading the DCR of the Woofer Voice coil and what ever inductors are in the LF part of the network. The caps in the HF part of the network block your meter. So you won't see that. As for the speaker being 8 Ohms... I can't post the file I use to explain this. That speaker will have a impedance from about 4 Ohms up to about 60 Ohms. It passes through 8 Ohms 4 times in its bandwidth...Also through 6 Ohms and 12 Ohms....pick one. For fun go look up the word "Nominal" as in Nominal 8 Ohms.
  6. Maybe. IF you can post pictures it would help tho. Most the numbers on the cone are from its mfg plant...not necessarily the same plant that built the woofer. Depend on age, should be Eminence K-48-EP
  7. Like said the mid driver used for the HF in this box just can't reach higher than 15kHz. Changing any part of the network will not change that.
  8. ...Funny this popped up...I guess they knew something I didn't.
  9. Back in 1999 / 2000 Roy sent a pair of RB5s to Cherokee Studios along with an active Xover...They loved them so much they wouldn't send them back.
  10. I bet that would be like mixing with a blanket over my head...
  11. To do the work of moving the mass of a 15 in woofer you need current. Big power SS amps have lots of it...It is all about headroom. Even PWK ditched the glass and went SS...using PRO CINEMS BGW amps.
  12. They need to be about 3 cubic feet to be right...Think wall sud spacing.
  13. We have most of what you need to build stock... I have a B3 stock net...
  14. I am trying to get back in here more...As I am no longer an employee.
