Do you buy used or new cars?
Klipsched with Yamahas replied to Macho Nacho's topic in General Klipsch Info
Used or a Program vehicle.....The Firehawk was the last NEW vehicle I ever intend on having! Actually, I was seeking a pre-owned Audi A4 myself, UNTIL......I spoke w/a few Audi owners who said the maintenance costs are insane and the closest GOOD dealerhship is 90 miles away in Annapolis, MD. Now I'm thinkg 35mpg or BUST! -

...and Ty Lawson is still out! They will be a formiddable opponent for sure, and I expect them to go deep into the tourney. It's those pesky mid-majors that scare me! O Maryland, my Maryland......it's NOT TO BE THIS YEAR![] -

Tyler is probably the best guard in the nation, but TN can't play that 1/2 court/zone play that the tournament will offer. With Memphis the 4th worst FT shooting team, and TN having only (2) shooters over 61%, it doesn't bode well for NCAA tourney play. NC I believe is the best team in the nation.......and coming from a staunch Maryland fan, that is a hard pill to swallow. Well balanced!! Keys to success in the tourney IMHO: Bench depth High percentage FT and FG shooting Good defense Good guard play Low Turnover It is almost that time so I suggest everyone start doing their homework on who will be the #1 team in the nation. -

Funny you should mention NY city and NASCAR. I was listening to FSR (Fox Sport Radio) which I do frequently trying to get to sleep after work, and one caller said he subscribes to XM radio because the local NY stations don't talk or know "squadooche" about NASCAR. Even JT the Brick said those sports talk radio hosts should travel south to get a real taste of what stock car racing is all about. I thought that rather entertaining since NY City is supposed to be so sports diverse. -

Cleaning receiver controls
Klipsched with Yamahas replied to rocket-andy's topic in Technical/Restorations
I took mine to a pro, but I have no doubt that your unit probably needs a good cleaning. Some of the solder joints don't hold up over time, as I found out too. -
Cool, I'll keep you posted as the details unfold....and not sure of the itinerary, but Boney just updated his webpage today as being in attendance. Gary, looks like Dave Coz is also playing on the 3rd of June. You may want to check out other events too. Mark...Gary, got you penciled in as a definite tentative[]

Just checked the tour schedule for Mr. James Oppenheim (Boney James), and it now appears he'll be appearing @ the (3) day Jazz Fest which is schedule for June 6-8, 2008 in Columbia, MD. (Merriweather Post I believe). Boney is scheduled to perform on Friday, June 6th according to his website Hey local crowd.....how about it? ARS (Atlanta Rhythm Section) "Underdog" (1979)(Polydor) Pulled this LP this morning, and what a jammin' rendition of the song "Spooky" In the cool of the evening when ev'rything is gettin' kind of groovy, I call you up and ask you if you want to go and meet and see a movie, First you say no, you've got some plans for the night, And then you stop, and say, "All right." Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you. You always keep me guessin', I never seem to know what you are thinkin'. And if a fella looks at you, it's for sure your little eye will be a-winkin'. I get confused, 'cause I don't know where I stand, And then you smile, and hold my hand. Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you. Spooky! If you decide someday to stop this little game that you are playin', I'm gonna tell you all what my heart's been a-dyin' to be sayin'. Just like a ghost, you've been a-hauntin' my dreams, So I'll propose... on Halloween. Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you. Spooky, Spooky, Spooky, Oh-whoa, all right, I said Spooky! JOE G sings SPOOKY - -
Car Audio Speakers Klipsch/Mercedes

Interesting read......I'm sure it's one HAWT setup I was originally gonna try these in the next setup, but then decided against it! http://www.imagedynamicsusa.com/products_page.php?id=cd1pro&type=horn I fear I would have had to obtain (2) 31-band EQ's to tame those beasts, and the project would have been cost prohibitive. If you've ever heard these properly tuned, there is nothing sweeter IMHO. This is what I had hoped KLIPSCH would endeavor to get into the market place. -
Taking a page out of the Thebe's Encylcopedia, here is a backend of the week column designed for those who have ventured into the attic to locate those long forgotten songs of yesteryear. Just today, I thought "self" let's see what these old dusty cassettes have to offer. Upon my discovery, I found many recordings of LP's previously recorded from former roomates in the late 70's and early 80's. Although I haven't managed to reach the summit, here is one recording from April 22, 1983 containing: Loggins and Messina "Grand Finale" (LIVE) 1977 w/the flip side containing The Michael Schenker Group "Assault Attack" (1982). Schenker....now that word somehows just jumps out at you[][:#] doesn't it Jacksonbart? Amazingly, there were very few dropouts and still very entertaining. So what have you managed to salvage from the archives of your collection?

The rest.....of the story (Palladium!)
Klipsched with Yamahas replied to Amy's topic in General Klipsch Info
Well then if we give one of these away at the pilgrimage, I'll be sure to remove your name from the hat. [] Not looking good for me this year, but if you keep upping the ante each year (Jube's, now palladiums), maybe I should hold off til next year[] On that note, I'll be debt free by this time next year, so chances are VERY GOOD -
Klipsch Restoration Inquiry

Agreed, shipping charges and potential return delays would IMHO be a real deterrent. I know I suffered (not really, but w/anticipation and anxiety) a WHOLE WEEK waiting for my upgraded B-2 recapped crossovers. JMO, but a very novel and creative idea. Maybe at the local/regional level.
