  8. Greg928gts knows what he's talking about. I'm in Florida and would do what he suggests...and have at my parents home in Dunnellon. As far as roofing, use the 5/8th sheeting then 50 lb felt and then Galvalume metal roofing and you will never regret it. My family has it on 3 homes and it is great. 50 yr guarantee. We have Hurricaines down here and very heavy rain storms, hail too sometimes. Metal is no problem and it will help with cooling in the summer. Collect the rain run-off and water your lawn later. Build as big as you can afford now cause you will regret not doing so later. Promise. Your income will increase and the home value will increase. You may gain another income... You are lucky to be able to do this ENJOY !
  9. Coytee, For qualification, I'm no electrician.. I understand what you're doing and think it a pretty good idea. That and especially since NOW is the time to do it, questions and all - during your construction. MY only input... Don't forget to purchase those $150.00 outlets I saw in the magazine the other night
  10. I to, am very sorry for your loss. I lost my father the end of April and hope you fare better than I have. We survive but miss them so much. Love your family. Paul
  11. If'n you got the cash... you can not go wrong with a Mac an lots o power. You don't have to use it! Just my opinion.Paul
  12. Dang!!! Did the manufacturer have a problem identifying their product ?
  13. I could'nt believe it but about a month ago I walked into my daughters room and asked her who was singing on the CD. She told me "Billie Holiday, I really like her" ... I was knocked out !! She had gone out and had bought that "Best of" CD. It is very good music but from a Rap listener. My little girl is growing up !!!
  14. Thanks for the fix. How do ya work a computer??? The diesel generator was very quiet. About as loud as a Honda Gold wing motorcycle (not a Harley!) Very quiet for something that big. I do not believe, if it was placed 200' away, you would hear it. Now that was the big unit too. Smaller is probably quieter. Remember these were running alot of amplifier power and would be mega overkill for Klipschtock !!
  15. Well, Ribfest is over and I have more info for ya'll. Though my info may be overkill I'm sure you guys can gleen what ya need from it... Check out this website : http://goldcoasthilift.com/equipment_pdf_library/MQ_Power_Brochure_for_UltraSilent_Generators.pdfThe Production company had 2 of the model DCA 15055VU models on site in case of lost power. I was also told to tell you that the Stage Operations manager, Rick Baynard, would be happy to talk to you about what would be needed. He has property/acreage for sale in Tennessee and is up there regularly. Contact him 800-660-8770 or cell# 813-363-6311. He may even be able to attend and was interested. Thats all I can get for you, I hope that when the mtg. biz. turns around I can sell my boat and get a set of K-Horns and be a "real member" ... Keeping that "PositivAttitude" Paul
  16. Hi again, home from fence up and the only beer till Sunday night... :~( Electrician says you need an Isolation Transformer. It does something like mating the incoming and outgoing electricity sending the crud to ground. You can rent them from Electrical Contractor supply companies. I will also check with Rick B. the Production mgr.( Roadies, Stage, Equipment ) Outdoor concerts sometimes have to have back-up power generators. They produce the clean power needed. You guys from Tennessee could call Nashville yellow pages for a production company and probably get all the info you needed. Hope I helped!!! Need to go to bed. 5am isn't far away and 12 is a long time from that.. Yippie--- WE BE HAVIN' FUN NOW !!! Paul [H][]
  17. Hi, Looks like you guys are going to have a blast. I am working back stage this weekend in St.Petersburg, Florida at Ribfest. Our group the, NorthEast Exchange Club, raises money for All Childrens Hospital every year and has been doing it successfully (over 1million $ into the till) for 19 years. I will ask our electrician,a good friend and member, how to set up a generator for the pure sine wave power you'll require and what distance per guage wire you can go. Get back to you today. Just wanted to brag... Santana lead singer Greg Rollie and his band ( a super guy ), Bostons Fran Cosmo,Grand Funk Railroad, Edgar Winter, Kansas, Foreigners Lou Gramm, the Atlanta Rhythem Section, and Eddie Money, are performing. FUN !!! Could'nt even afford their albums when younger. Now I know them!!!
  18. YOU ! just gotta have the biggest garage in Indiana[]
  19. JB, You know way to much about computers...[] Paul
  20. I was wondering when you would get around to "suggesting the obvious". Those Jubilees must really be fantastic. Want to hear some some day... []
  21. Can ya get a right AND left speaker or do ya need 2 more halves. Confused ???[^o)]
  22. I'm new here BUT... Heh Klipsch are you watchin' ????????????????????????? Beautiful Idea. Beautiful Concept. Probably less expensive to sell than ALOT of those "High End Speakers" I would definitely consider this purchase.
  23. I'm reading these posts and find that you guys are really amazing. The ideas and knowledge that you offer to others is ALOT....[Y] Paul
  24. If you wanted... you can go to the Harmon Kardon USA site and find local shops that will fix the unit. Surely more expensive than a Forum user but still an option with no other hassles. Paul
  25. How wide are those speakers? Would you toe them in? What king of amplification would be needed to power them correctly? I have an 28X48 music/TV room with some couches in it.........[6] Paul
