  1. As told by a woman....

I had lunch with 2 of my unmarried friends.
One is engaged, one is a mistress, and I have been
    Married for 20+ years.

We were chatting about our relationships and decided
To amaze our men by greeting them at the door
Wearing a black bra, stiletto heels and a mask over our eyes.
We agreed to meet in a few days to exchange notes.

    Here's how it all went.

    My engaged friend :
The other night when my boyfriend came over he
Found me with a black leather bodice, tall stilettos and a mask
He saw me and said, 'You are the woman of my dreams.
I love you.' Then we made passionate love all night long.

    The mistress:
Me too! The other night I met my lover at his office and I was
Wearing a raincoat, under it only the black bra, heels and
    Mask over my eyes.

When I opened the raincoat he didn't say a word,

but he started to tremble and we had wild sex all night.

Then I had to share my story:
When my husband came home I was wearing the black bra,
Black stockings, stilettos and a mask over my eyes.
When he came in the door and saw me he said,

    "What's for dinner,Batman?"

  2. A Sad Thought.................My friends that made it home from 'NAM are now dying what I guess one would consider, a normal passing of life. It doesn't make it any easier, still hurts..................I still miss them and always will, My Brothers in Arms................We should all be thankful that we live in the GREATEST COUNTRY in the World...............Bar none.............."Teach Your Children Well"..............

  3. Terry DeWick is the best but if you don't want to ship call up Twin City Antique Mall they carry vintage audio gear. They have some nice stuff. Ask for Mike he has a tech that services his gear and he does services and reapair. http://www.twincityantiquemall.com/

Seti...don't know if you've dealt with their guy in awhile but he's had my Marantz 2245 that joshnich gave me for almost 3 yrs. One channel was out & this guy can't fix it. I've bought several parts he said he needed but alas. I need to pick it up & get it to Durham I suppose.

I'm not taking sides here or demeaning anyone but here's a little info for ya on the Marantz...

There's a lot of guys that won't work on them. The Marantz don't like to stay fixed. IF..yes IF I had a Marantz that needed worked on I'd search out a Marantz Guru to work on it. Find someone with full knowledge of the quirks and personalities of the Marantz systems. Simple issues aren't a problem but they do have some issues that require "the best".

  4. It's more than just possible it was damaged in shipping. They're fragile and the mag structure can be damaged in shipping.

The seller is responsible for getting your product to you safely.

Have him immediately file a claim with the shipper and get a refund. I doubt you'll recover shipping costs.

It's pretty sad you have to pay UPS, USPS, and FEDEX extra insurance to do their job properly.

Down side of ebay. Best wishes in your task taking care of it.

  5. A LITTLE OLD LADY GOES TO COURT....

    Defense Attorney:
Will you please state your age?

    Old Lady:

    I am 94 years old.

    Defense Attorney:

Will you tell us, in your own words, what happened the night of April 1st?

    Old Lady:

There I was, sitting there in my swing on my front porch on a warm

spring evening, when a young man comes creeping up on the porch
    and sat down beside me.

    Defense Attorney:

    Did you know him?

    Old Lady:

No, but he sure was friendly.

    Defense Attorney:

What happened after he sat down?

    Old Lady:

He started to rub my thigh.

    Defense Attorney:

    Did you stop him?

    Old Lady:

    No, I didn't stop him.

    Defense Attorney:

    Why not?

    Little Old Lady:

It felt good. Nobody had done that since my Albert died

    some 30 years ago.

    Defense Attorney:

    What happened next?

    Old Lady:

He began to rub all over of my body.

    Defense Attorney:

    Did you stop him then?

    Old Lady:

No, I did not stop him.

    Defense Attorney:

    Why not?

    Old Lady:

His rubbing made me feel all alive and excited.

I haven't felt that good in years!

    Defense Attorney:

    What happened next?

    Old Lady:

Well, by then, I was feeling so "spicy" that I just laid down

and told him 'Take me, young man. Take me now! '

    Defense Attorney:

    Did he take you?

    Old Lady:

Hell, no! He just yelled, "April Fool!"

And that's when I shot him, the little bastald

  6. I've been doing electronics repairs and maintenance since the late '60s and I don't need a controlled environment or "Credible" unbiased proof to know what I can hear. The hearing's good btw.

And I've still yet to hear of a computer or readout that can hear. I'm not being a smartarse but there's a point you trust your ears. It's probably why you chose the system you're listening to.

  7. Your speakers aren't powered so that gives you a direction to start with.

Low freq hums are usually due to lighting or interferrence from an electrical source outside of your system.

    Power Conditioner?

A year or so ago I had my DeWalt cordless drill was creating a hum ONLY when it was charging. It ran me silly for a week or so until I inadvertantly ran across the problem when I had a low floor noise when I plugged my charger in.

  8. Just got the Ed Saunders stylus in, can't wait to hook it up and get her playing. Luckily for me the roommate is sleeping still so that means I can't work on the basement.

Don't worry the system is up to flights of stairs so I should be jamming some tunes here in a couple of hours.

How's the TT working out so far? I've been waiting to see what your impression is so far.
