  6. If you want all 5 channels to work then you must have a 5.1 signal going in the back of the amp (front L-R Rear L-R and Center & Sub), your mp3 is stereo sound so you will only get to play your frpnt left and right sats and sub. I also think the (aux in) in the vol control is for stereo input only. The only thing I can think of that create simulated 5.1 signal from your mp3 player is a digital decoder (Klipsch DD-5.1 or some high end Receiver). Cheers, Elliott
  7. P.M me your e-mail and name, I have replied to all the e-mails in the past 2 weeks and the phone # on my website is correct, also I have no missed calls for today. Elliott
  8. OK, then yes you can use the sats with other computer speaker amps..just don't plug them directly to a home audio receiver because they could blow.
  9. The only way to make that sub work is with its vol control (same type) , try eBay...if they don't have it just get some new speakers.
  10. Just e-mail me your number and I'll call you during the week and help you find the problem. Cheers, Elliott
  11. Hi, if you have an intermittent problem and I already upgraded the power supply then it could be a bad BASH IC (H2), how often does it cut off?The speakers should be fine..I'm almost positive is that IC..
  12. Nobody sells it, you have to send your amp to get repaired/upgraded. Elliott
  13. Just so you know, if the power supply does not get upgraded/repaired the BASH IC will die again in a matter of days or weeks, the faulty power supply is what kills the BASH IC, just letting you know..
  14. Go to radio shack, they sell them there is just that they are black....
  15. Do you have the promedia Ultra or THX model? If you have the Ultra sub then the bass is pretty deep and loud, enough to get you in trouble with the neighbors it will make the stuff on your desk rattle at full blast and the THX sub is not that strong but is OK for a room.. Also I checked on your receiver's model and you do have a Subwoofer pre out jack but in order to use it you need your Klipsch amp working. My receiver is hooked up from the PC's digital optical output to the back of the receiver's digital optical input 1 using a 6ft optical wire, and all the satellites hooked up from the speaker out on the back of my receiver, and finally the Klipsch Sub w/its amp is just connected from the back of the receiver's "sub pre out jack" using rca to phono jacks (can be found at wall mart in the ipod accessories section) and then to the center/sub jack (orange) from the back of the Klipsch amp and also the front speakers jacks out from the back of the receiver and to the Klipsch amp front speakers jack (green) this is needed for louder sound, the (black) jack from the back of the Klipsch amp is not used since you will have all your satellites hooked up from the receiver . The biggest advantage in running this setup is that you will be using optical which is a digital audio signal and it will sound very clean and loud, (kind of like comparing digital TV to analog) also your Klipsch amp will only concentrate its power on the sub out so it will sound louder and will last longer since you'll be running the satelites from the receiver....You don't even need a fancy audio card on your computer if it already has the optical out from the motherboard [H] Happy moding.. Elliott
  16. As long as you have the SWS jack in the back of your 5.1 amp you can hook up any powered sub you want. Elliott
  17. Hi, this is a power supply problem and amp will have to be sent for repair/upgrade. Cheers, Elliott
  18. HI, does your eceiver have sub out jack? Also if your receiver does not have the sub out for non powered subs it will not work, you will need to havethe amp working in the sub. If your receiver has the sub out jack, I suggest to get the klipsch amp repaired and use the sub as powerd sub, I'm running this setup on an Onkyo TX-DS787 and works great. Elliott
  19. Hi, I use an Onkyo TX-DS787 and it works great (even better tham a Klipsch decoder), also I have a Yamaha RX-V1300 and it also works, just look for a receiver that has the optical imputs and the surround RCA jack outs (front L_R, Center, Rear L-R). P.S The receiver on your link only has stereo output and no sourround or center, so it won't work. Cheers,
  20. You will kill the audio boards if you short the mosfets because you will have maximum voltage at the audip boards at all times, this will make your amp not worht fixing if the audio borads get damaged.. I recommend sendig your amp to get it repaired properly... Elliott
  21. I should be working on your amp soon, Cheers, Elliott [8-|]
  22. If you don't get any power on the vol control you will have to remove your amp from the enclosure and check the fuse, if it's blown replace it with a slow blow 5a fuse and if it blows again, you'll have to send it in for repair.. Hope this helps, Elliott
  23. Hi, they would work O.K but no big improvement IMO those rsx4 sound almost the same as the promedia ultra or maybe less since they are 8ohms and the ultra are 6ohm (power output would be the same on a 2 or 5 satellite setup), try to find bigger cones found on bookshelf speakers with 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 and try to get 6 ohms instead of 8 ohms..
