  1. To "The Ear": Do you have ears left or have they vibrated off by now? Are you a professional reviewer or is this whole thing only about "bragging rights"? Of course you would have a db meter to measure it all.....of course. There is such a concept as "toooo much of a good thing".........ever heard of it? "If a woman can have a baby in nine months then can nine women have a baby in one month"? ........ I don't think so. You know.......there are sounds in this world above 100Hz. Try it out, you might like it. .......BTW, what do you do when the phone rings? Actually you may be able to help me out. I am interested in either upgrading or supplementing my existing Velodyne 12" 130 w. sub. I am most interested in the Hsu VTF-3HO or the JL Audio Fathom f112. Since you have the Hsu and a sub from JL Audio can you offer me an opinion on which brand might be the better choice for me? Comment on the specific models I listed if you can. My listening habits are old r&r (stones, ac/dc, Bo Diddley, beatles, etc.) My listening room is 22 X 24. Thanks.
  2. I don't have Chorus speakers. What I have are Forte IIs for mains and KG-4s for rears. Mike Colter suggested an Academy as a good match for the center channel. He said as an alternative that KLFC-7 or KV-4 would also be OK. What is your opinion? Obviously I want my center channel to have the same sound qualities as my other speakers. It needs to sound as close to Forte IIs as possible. Ideas? Do you think any of the current Klipsch models would be a good fit?
  3. Klipsch speakers are very efficient and require less power than most speakers. They reproduce horn sounds very well. The only negative I can think of is that many of them are made in China now instead of Hope, AR Hope this helps.
  4. I have Forte-IIs for my mains and KG-4s for the rears with a Velodyne 12" for the sub. It sounds pretty good to me so you might consider acquiring KG-4s for your rears. BTW, I am seeking an Academy for my center. Would you know of one in excellent shape for sale? Preferable in the Baltimore, MD area so that I can see and hear it? Thanks,
  5. I am seeking an Academy or KLFC-7 or KV-4 speaker for center channel use. I currently have Forte IIs as main speakers and KG-4s as rear speakers. I live in Baltimore, MD (soon to be home of the World Champion Baltimore RAVENS!) I am hoping to be able to see and hear the speaker before I buy it. So it would be nice if the seller lived within driving distance to me.
