Nope, just regular 5w-30. Although I think 5w-30 was fairly new at the time, most cars still used 10w-30. Mechancially there was very little difference between the Fiero and every GM front wheel drive vehicle. The 84-87 models essentially used a Chevette front suspension and Citation rear suspension, engine, transmission, etc. In '88 it got a redesigned suspension specific to the Fiero that vastly improved ride and handling, with improved larger vented brakes, redesigned suspension geometry, etc. But by then it was too late to save the car. The GT engine - GM's 2.8L V6 was specific to the Fiero. It had a higher lift cam and better flowing heads than the regular 2.8 V6. It came from the Citation X-11 program that was working on a high output V6 starting back in 1980. The Fiero continued that and added multi-port fuel injection to replace the carbureator used on the Citation X-11. The Fiero GT was rated at 140 HP in 1985. By comparison, the base V8 engine in the Trans Am that year was a 5.0L with 145HP.

I have a 1988 Fiero Formula. It's the base coupe body style with the GT V6 drivetrain and suspension. Mine has 177,000 miles on the original drivetrain and is still driven regularly. The Fiero is a great little car for it's time, but you'll find a LOT of misinformation out there about them. Many people think they're too small to be safe, but they had a 5 Star front crash safety rating, without an airbag. The only other cars of the era to do that were Volvo. The body panels are made from "Sheet Moulded Compound" or SMC for short. It's the same material Saturn used, as well as Corvettes and some body parts on 4th Generation Firebirds and Camaros. Auto repair shops used to do that. There should be enough case history there to draw a parallel and put Best Buy on the hook, unless they have a signed estimate approving the work. I'd be going straight for a lawyer. Oh, and NEVER, EVER take your PC to Geek Squad unless you want all of your data copied and distributed. They will look through your files to see if you have any software they want, pics, music, movies, etc. If you have sensitive data, either learn to work on the PC yourself, or keep it on a separate drive so you can drop them off a PC with just the OS drive.

I've got an old Promedia v.2-400 setup and I have a scratch sound on it and one speaker drops out. On mine, it's the volume control. You might start with something simple like that. I'd definitely ask Klipsch support first.

That's cool. The absolute best one I've seen is when I had a demo CD of a recording inside a raquetball court. You could hear the ball bouncing around the room like you were inside the court. At one point, the cat was walking across the room when the sound of the ball richocheted towards the floor, and the cat ducked. [] We all about fell out of our chairs laughing.

Same here. On more than one occasion, I've had a movie playing in the backround while I do stuff around the house, and if someone knocks on the door in the movie, I'll start to go to the door before I realize it wasn't real.

Am I confused? I thought we had only been there once? Six Apollo missions landed on the moon. Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17. Exactly One point all conspiracy theorists miss is this; any deception on the scale of the moon landing, or Area 51 would require many, many people. Eventually, these people would want to talk and expose the truth for their own personal satisfaction, money, or a clear conscious on their deathbed. No one has come forward yet... Well, that, and I used to work for NASA back in the 90's. I've seen first hand astronauts get in the Shuttle, launch, and land, then get out of the shuttle. I can't say that about Apollo, though. That was a bit before my time. I was only 4 when Apollo 11 landed on the moon. []

NASA's greatest achievement has been their albatross. They made spaceflight seem "routine." After Apollo 11, we beat the Russians to the moon and people stopped caring. With the will and the excitement and the drive, the desire to continue funding also dried up. People talk about how much money NASA wastes, but in NASA's entire existance, all of their annual budgets combined are less than the TARP bailout. We finally build a space station - the job the Shuttle was original designed to do, and they're already talking about scuttling the station a few years after it's completed. I'm really looking forward to the Constellation program and test launch of the first Ares I-X later this year. It's long since time we returned to the moon, and beyond. I only hope the programs aren't cut to pay for corporate bailouts.

If you hear there's going to be a ban or restriction on a product you like - you're going to stock up. If you hear the rates you charge are likely to be restricted in the future, you'll go ahead and raise them before the restriction kicks in. Imagine the run on Klipsch speakers if we found out they were going out of business or would be restricted to only selling small bookshelf speakers made in Malaysia - by Bose? [+o(] ... [] The going price for Heritage, Reference, etc. would go through the roof.
