  1. The guys name is John http://cosprings.craigslist.org/ele/352442746.html He sent me his contact info: home: (719)593-0884 office: (719)272-3573 Jon
  2. Guys, I have some one offering me Altec 19 for $1000 - they appear to be in great condition from what I see in the pictures. I don't know how to upload pictures but they look very clean. I think its a great price given the last one I saw went on ebay for $1500. Unfortunately - I am no longer allowed to purchase speakers for a while (partially due to recent Chorus purchase). Hence - I wanted to pass this deal on to fellow members who happen to also be Altec fans. Let me know if you want their contact info
  3. Post pics please, I'm also looking to trade (I'm kidding - ok this is going to far) .
  4. http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/ele/356811681.html http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/ele/355701057.html - for 180 - woodfinish http://miami.craigslist.org/ele/355452757.html - 175 - wood finish Only listing the KG4s because selling mine was the biggest mistake I ever made (hopefully Chorus I might be a good replacement - haven't hooked them up yet - but have high expectations becuase I will be comparing them to the more expensive Cornwalls and much cheaper KG4)
  5. Thanks for you input guys I picked up the pair this afternoon (wanted to aviod rush hour). Speakers look great - now just hope the sounds as good as they look
  6. Not that I plan on doing this but: Wanted to know if the black can ever be sanded off and given a wood finish? Just curious thats all.
  7. for example I found this today doing the above: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ele/355676727.html (searching for Khorns)
  8. sometime if you do: "Klipsch+craigslist+(whatever model your looking for)" on google, that does a good job bringing up results.
  9. search craigslist or local e-bay everyday for a pair of Klipsch. Doesn't matter what you have, or if you even need anything. I see myself coming into the office everyday and the first thing I do is go to craigslist and type "Klipsch" - thats how my days starts off every day, whether I need them or not. Am I suffereing from some sort of desease? Sometimes I seach Chicago craigslist simple because I have a cousin living there, if I can't have them, I feel better if he purchases (dont ask why)
  10. Will definately leave feedback on the Chorus. The thing is that I could never really consider Chorus II or Fortes because of the rear passive radiators - Many have mentioned that they need a corner to shine - I dont have that option. And I can not agree withe colterphoto 1 - "ALWAYS pick up"
  11. rpalce and to everyone, Thanks for responding. I will pick up the pair today. The only reason why I was having trouble deciding is because reading old post too many people favor or the Chorus II over I and say how Fortea are SO MUCH BETTER.... but I guess people agree that $350 for Chorus I performace is worth it. rplace - should I ever decide to sell the Chorus after purchase, and should you still be interested in purchasing, you will be the first person I contact - and you too will be welcome to them for $350 as oppose to the ebay $700. Thats why I love the Klipsch forums, people here are so helpful and honest - its leaves you feeling way too guilty if you make money off from a fellow forum member (please - im not implying anything about the Hersey III forums). I'll be honest, I wouldn't mind making money on e-bay, but I will never seek profit from a forum member - people here are too nice.
  12. Hi guys, Wanted to find out if you guys agree if $350 for a pair of absolutely mint Chorus I worth it (Black/Orignal Owner/No damage at all - circa 89)? I was looking to buy one more pair of speakers. I already have two pairs Cornwalls / and one pair of Khorns. Hence, this isn't going to be my main listening room. But, I wanted to know if $350 was good. I saw a pair of Hersey go on e-bay last night for 370 after shipping. Is that a better buy? I've seen Forte go for about 400 sometimes a little more. Dont know if its worth paying a little bit more for Fortes and getting Herseys for about the same price???? Lastly, these a Chorus I. I've read the forums here about people favoring the II and so wanted to make this clear that these are Chorus I. All input is much appreciated.
  13. The guys is offering it to me for $350.....aghh! tough decision..
  14. Really - I love the way my cornwalls sounds and if these sounds similar, I am sure I would like these as well. plus I have a a HSU VTF3-MKII subwoofer not being used should I chose to supplement. The only thing is that I bought a Nakamichi PA-5+Nakamichi CA-5 for $350 today. Hence, a little short on the money.
  15. What is a good price for a piar of Chorus anyways? How do they stand against Cornwalls?
  16. For anyone who is interested, I do not know a good price. http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/ele/356361677.html
  17. Thanks Larry and Captn Bob Here is the link if you guys were curious: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ele/356230165.html Fair price, but not for me I guess.
  18. Wanted to find out if anyone here knew anything about Bozak B-4000 speaker - had little luck finding information online. Someone is selling it locally and its only one single speaker (left) for $200. Its not worth anything to me but may here collect vintage speaker and wanted to know if someone was interested in its parts. Let me know. Thanks.
  19. The condition is great, Unfotunately, after hearing no response from anyone here yesterday, I ended up posting it on craigslist and have already had serveral inquires. I will keep you posted on the sale. Thanks, Dhar
  20. No takers on the Fisher? Please let me know if I have priced it wrong. Thanks. D
  21. Hi all, A month or so ago I had purchased a Fisher 400 receiver without the cabinet for $260 on e-bay. It has all orignal Fisher tubes except a missing 7868. Its in really good condition. Within three days after the I bought my fisher I scored on Fisher 500C with cabinet. I've been using the 500 since but never too the time to try of the Fisher 400. Becuase of missing a single 7868 and missing brass caps (which I am hoping my uncle can recreate for me). I am willing to give the Fisher 400 out to anyone here at the forum for $215. I hope that in not unfair price. The unit itself looks to be in super condition. All tubes light up. - I was going to acquire new 7868 tubs but never went through. Anyways, anyone local to the Washington D.C. area is more than welcome to it for $215. I perfer not to ship because this would give the purchaser the opportunity to fully inspect the item before purchasing. Thanks Dhar
  22. Someone Local is selling a Nakamichi Tape Deck Model CR-5 I've always read good things about Nakamichi tape decks - he is asking $75 for it? Is that any good, should I chose to pass on it, did anyone on the form really want it? Couldn't find anything on in online but someone in Australia e-bay was selling it for close to $300AU dollars.
  23. I'm just curious. I really dont see either of them go on sale much. It's almost unfair to compare the two on Klipsch forums but I know people here are loyal to music and not necessarily the Klipsch name brand. Please share your thoughts. I own a piar or Klipschorn but am always curious to know the the Altec Model 19 sounds.
