  1. Thanks! I'm leary about posting this since I am new to the Klipsch sound. I haven't posted any for sale ads since I am in the middle of nowhere. I didn't want to help a scammer. However, in a month or so I am ordering some RB 61's not in the same league as you guys but I just wanted to help. Always wanting to learn and help!
  2. Not affiliated with seller and I have no idea about them. I was just trying to see if anyone wanted to look at these. Looks like all the equipment goes http://cgi.ebay.com/Belle-Klipsch-Speakers-with-Matching-Solid-Oak-Cabinets_W0QQitemZ220136220783QQihZ012QQcategoryZ50597QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  3. NEVER NEVER NEVER Drink a Jack and coke mostly Jack followed by 2 glasses of Red Wine followed by Several Bud Light I didn't know I could move that slow at 5am.
  4. Location and pics usually help a lot from what I have seen here.
  5. Hope my post about the Mr. Beer did not sound to negative. By all means use it and have fun. I have had many an Mr. Beer from others and it will not be a waste of time. Lots of award winning home brewers got thier start with MRB. Just keep in mind that it can be a LOT better and not much effort. Enjoy, have fun it is a great hobby...best of all it is way cheaper then audio gear. Another good thing about it is that it will open your eyes to how many different types of beer are out there. Nah it didn't put me off. You have to start somewhere. I mean I started grilling and then started smoking ribs etc. I really like the Pale Ales and usually don't go past anything darker than Killians Red but I have a friend that made some dark beer that have a fruity afteraste to it and I really liked it. He is still going strong with his Mr. Beer kit. I may look on the net and see if I can find some time of Lime flavored beer and a hard cider for the wife. Heck who knows if I get good enough maybe someday I will open a restaurant (BBQ) with a microbrew in it. Man is it ever cheaper than audio gear. I upgraded tv's in November and now I am working on speakers. By the end of August I should have enough to replace my Onkyo HTiB speakers with RB 61's and the sub with an offering from HSU. Surrounds will have to wait maybe.
  6. Had some of that back in fall Cherry flavored. In the voice of Cartman KICK ***!
  7. WOW what a work of art!
  8. Well the kit was a gift so there is no investment on my end except for time. This way if I try it and don't like I am only out time. If I like it and want to move on I can. A friend of mine has this kit and I sampled some of his brew that he made and it wasn't bad at all. It was a dark beer with a hint of a fruit taste. Normally I don't care much for dark beers at all. Thanks for the links I will mark them as favorites. I am sure I will be back with more questions.
  9. Yep I have been reading that. My kit came with the powdered king. I figure my first couple of batches may be a disaster.
  10. I just bought my first homebrewing kit from MR. Beer. I was in Pigeon Forge, Tenn this past weekend and found it on sale so I just needed a new toy. Has anyone tried this and if so does anyone know any good resources or have any tips or tricks they might know and care to share? I may try to make a second batch arrive about the same time I should be getting my RB 61's.
  11. If people bet on it then it's a sport. I think I weard today that 66 hotdogs and buns is something like over 20,000 calories.
  12. I started last night 2 beer, 1 glass of Sangria and 1 bottle of red wine. I quit at 11:00pm but 5am comes early UGH! work you know. Tonight just 3 or 4 Michelob lite.
  13. All I can say is WOW! and congratulations. Maybe some day I will get that lucky.
  14. I have that same exact smoker in my basement. It served me well. Just remember never use any charcoal that has been treated with any lighter fluid. I used a little charcoal fluid to get it started.... The oderless kind. Is there another way? No thats fine after about 15 minutes put the food on because by that time the fluid has burnt off. I should of been more specific by syaing don't use charcoal such as Match Light or any presoaked charcoal.
  15. Dark Side of the Moon is on my background now.
  16. I have that same exact smoker in my basement. It served me well. Just remember never use any charcoal that has been treated with any lighter fluid.
  17. Saturday swim an in-laws and BBQ Saturday PM consume Crown Royal and Coke and beer. In that order Sunday Nascar and who knows.
  18. Well I think RB 61's and RS 42's is it (the number escapes me). New subwoofer still reading about those. In August with luck I will have all the money put back I hope. Then all I have to do is pull the trigger before I chicken out. Then in September I will be broke again.
  19. You mean like this? Actually, your setup looks perfectly sensible. I was referring to a Heresy speaker standing (not lying) on top of a TV. That would look unusual. Having the center speaker standing under the TV is totally logical, but most people have a TV stand under the TV. Is that three Fortes in front? Nice speakers and electronics. The Macs look good, too. Thanks you for your nice comment. Since that picture was taken I am now up to Five Forte IIs, two KG-4s, and two subs. The Macs are very happy pumping power to these full range speakers. My goal is to get two more Forte IIs and sell the KG-4s. No more subs though. Two is enough...................................................................................................for now. I am very impressed Thanks Roc.
  20. I have heard this arguement several times. Now I am not trying to sound mean or anything but can this be proven? I have never seen anyone offer proof of this. I thought sound was subjective. Wouldn't the sound field have a more narrow vertical spread? Please educate me. Your logic makes sense but here is the issue with laying a horn loaded speaker on it's side. Look at your horns. They have a specific shape. They are not square but rather oblong. Their shape has an effect on the sound and the sound dispersion. If you put the speaker on it's side you have altered the horizontal and verticle shapes of the horn and therefore the sound and sound dispersion. It seems like it would be best to not place horn loaded speakers on their sides. Oh shoot I was going to post something but I figured it out. Man I hate feeling like an idiot. My problem is I plan to upgrade from HTiB to RB 61's and the only center channel I can fit into the opening is the RC 10 or a sideways RB 61. The wife nixed the idea of a shelf above the tv.
  21. Cute pics. I've got 3 cats so no more for me. Good luck finding a home!

    Yard Theater

I have seen this done actually using bungee cords and grommets to keep it tight.
  23. Cool! About a month or two ago I got to audition the 83's for about half an hour. It's a shame I didn't have room for them. I loved the way they sounded with movies but the material that really blew me away was when they played some material from The Eagles Hell Freezes Over DVD. The hairs on my arm actually stood up. Um this may sound stupid but how is the RC 10? I need a Center Channel and that is the only one I have room for. Also I noticed you listen to Jazz. My wife loves Nora Jones sound and I want to find her something in that style but I have no idea what to look for.
