  1. Lets do this again! So without further ado, I'm looking to sell my oil oak Chorus II's in sequential number. I am not looking to ship these, so I wanted to give local forum members first shot before I put them on Craigslist. I would say there are in very good to excellent shape. No major dings, or scratches to speak of. There is a little bit of chipping near the base of the speakers, but it isn't very noticeable. Grills are in excellent condition as are the badges, all woofers front and back are in great shape with the exception of one passive that had a little penny size tear that looks to have been repaired well and works and sounds amazing. I was able to get the original receipt and documentation that came with the set if you are interested in that. Asking price is $700. I can audition them as well. Thanks for looking!
  2. I just had a guy from Craigslist come pick these up so these are sold!
  3. Sorry for the lag fellas, its been a busy week. Here are some more pictures. I had forgot to mention before, there's a sticky residue on the front of the right speaker, that's how I got it from the original seller. I don't believe it hurt the veneer at all.
  4. Hey guys, thanks for the advice on placement and what not. I'm thinking for the time it would be better to let these ones go and buy another pair down the road when I have a better space for them. For now I guess I'll have to "settle" with my La Scalas. Schu I'll get some more pictures up later today.
  5. ***Update*** These have been SOLD! Thanks for looking! Hey fellas! Few months back I bought these from a guy in San Diego with hopes that I could make them work on the short wall in my living room. Unfortunately after giving them some decent listening time I don't think they are going to work out for me. They sit barely 12 feet apart from the corners in my living room, so the sweet spot falls about 3 feet in front the listening area, If I had a bigger room, this ad wouldn't be going up, believe me. With that being said, I have them on Craigslist for $2500, but here for the forum memebers I'll go down to $2200. I'm located in Long Beach in the 90808 area code. PM if interested. Thanks, Andrew
  6. Sounds like this might be an interesting trade! It might help to post a couple pictures of each, and your location. GL!
  7. I think they will probably make a successor to the RF-7 II down the line. IMO I'd love to see some sort of re-imagined RF-83 with maybe four woofers or maybe a three way design. Since it looks like the Palladiums are on their way out, it might not be implausible.
  8. Such a nice setup! It show's much time and consideration was put into this room. That back equipment room is fantastic. That's what I have always visualized for myself when my wife and I own our home.
  9. Howdy Lost! With those CF-3's you have some very capable speakers! I've never heard the KV4 myself, but from I've read it isn't too shabby itself. My first question to you is, are you happy with your current rig? Do you feel there is something lacking? If you said yes to the second question have you tried playing around with speaker position, and room calibration to get the most out of your current speakers? What are you currently powering your speakers with? Maybe before ditching your current speakers maybe you need to look at your receiver, and see if its breathing enough life into your CF-3's. If you've covered all that and are still underwhelmed it might be a good idea to look at the RF-7 system, which btw I use in my theater and absolutely love!
  10. This is an amazing sub! Your face will hurt from smiling so much. If your room is any smaller than my 11,000+ cubic ft garage you'll need some sort of seat belt to make sure your not blow out of the room.
  11. Not to steal the post, but no problem bud! Glad everything worked out. Enjoy that beast of a sub!
  12. Great looking speakers and room! I love the finish on the Palladiums! Like Scrap said, finding a more capable sub will just be the finishing touch to your system. Congrats again.
  13. Congrats bud! Pics once you have everything set up!
  14. Schu uses a RC-64 II with his Heritage speaker and has been pleased with the results.
  15. I would go with Intel as well. Back in the Athlon/FX64 days I'd would of said AMD, but ever since then they have just been playing catchup.
  16. The thought has crossed my mind
  17. That was just to tease Youth. But I really am going to put my cherry rsw-15 up for sale, you intersted?
  18. Well, these suckers are huge. Luckily the owner had a hand crank lift that got them on the truck easy enough. Sound wise they of course sound amazing, though I know I'm not getting the most out with them being on such a short wall. With them snug in the corner, the mpl is about three and a half feet from where we sit, and its very noticeable. After I shot this pic I toed them out as much as a could. The sound stage improved but of course the bass took a hit. With that being said, I'm probably going to have to let them go. The Scalas, I feel sound best in my living room, and until we get our own home with a large enough wall, the K-horns are going to have to be a later purchase. Also, their condition was not excellent. The pictures the guy took were a little misleading. They are by no means in bad shape, I'd actually say very good, but they have more than a couple superficial abrasions, some chips to the veneer, and fading to the wood, due to them being next to the window for the past 10 years. However, I was able to get them cheaper because of it. I'll make another post with more pics, and selling info.

  20. I have a pristine cherry RSW-15 that I'm looking to sell, just saying Congrats on the new sub, so... where's the pics?
  21. RIP Ms Valerie. Prayers and thought out to the family.
  22. Like some of you have mentioned, I have a very patient and understanding wife when it comes to this hobby. She's known how much I've wanted K-Horns since we dated, so when the ones in San Diego popped up on the forum and I told her about them she just told me to go get them. Now, I don't think I could bring the volume of speaker home that some of y'all have, but what I've brought home over the years it hasn't been an issue.
  23. What no camera? here.. Thad, do you game? If so what's your current gaming rig?
  24. Chris A, thanks for you info man, I'm going to play with the tweeter like you had mention. Luckily there wont be anything obstructing the horns from the listening position.
