There isn't going to be a noticeable difference, but I still do it anyways. I have RF82's and an RXV-781, and it's easy to bi-amp. Just remove the straps on the binding posts and plug into the front/surround back channels on the amp, then enable bi-amp in the setup menu. As mentioned before before both channels get full signals so it doesn't matter which is amp goes where.

If you want to test your sub in particular check out Cloverfield on blu-ray. It's a bad movie but LOTS of MASSIVE explosions.

Why did it take so long to put wireless transmitters on subs? Is there a reason why they haven't done it until now?

Try finding or, if your card has it, the digital outputs. I always found that the digital output sounded better for some reason.

I have used Vista since the day it came out and before that I used the beta versions. The only problems I had where at the beginning when some companies didn't have working drivers for a few months. That is all fixed now and I havn't seen a blue screen ever on Vista. The only other problem I had was when I bought a new motherboard that turned out to be faulty. Vista does use a ton of resources to run but computers have become really cheap so that shouldn't be an excuse. Vista also comes with versions that are less resource intensive too. A friend of mine bought a brand new macbook pro and in the first three months he had to change the motherboard twice! Thankfully he had the extra warranty because it would have cost him $800 to fix!

Good thing that fixed it. The last time my computer did that I had to buy a new motherboard.

I wish I saw this before I started because my cost so far are over that and I'm still not done! Plus I bet their boxes look better.

That's what I thought when I started.... How hard could it be? It's just a box.... But after getting started it is not so easy, mind you I have zero wood working experience. I spend probably hours trying to get panels to line up and even still they are not 100%. The worst is when I tried laminating two pieces of MDF together, they all moved a bit, up to 1/16th of an inch in some spots, so now my box isn't air tights. I am hoping it will look fine after I trim the excess around the edges with a flush trim bit. Another think I messed up on is using screws... I was too cheap to get enough clamps, so I used screws and split a bunch of panels, and since mdf is so soft the threads inside are too chewed up to get the screws flush to the panels. Now I have to remove the screws and fill the holes anyway. But I definately learned a lot and will definately do this again even after all this work. I have lots of wood left over so I might build some bookshelfs for my computer.

Indy I bet it was the monster calibration disc.... I know they just put a Blu-ray version out his year. Otherwise it was probabbly digital video essentials, the one I have.

There is a thread on the AVS forum where a guy bought on eof those boxes.... They are really nice. 1" thick all around and 2" thick baffles, nice braces and painted or carpeted or bare mdf.

i've used both avia 2 and digital video essentials(on blu-ray for HDTVs) and I am not impressed with either of them.... They both spend more time on explaing what a home theatre is than calibrating.

The reason the TV's are so far off some times is beacuase the manufacturers want the tv's to look best in the stores, where poeple compare them. But, our home settings are very different than the stores. Also the color blue is very eye catching and appealing so TV manufacturers like to boost the blue levels so their TV catches your eye better. But 300 bucks to calibrate seems too much.... I remember seeing those spider colorimeters for like 200-300 for a cheap basic one. With a little time resarching you could do a pretty good job with one of them.

You would need some sort of amp I would think. Most computer speakers use the amps built into the sub or into the satelites.

Isn't PCM the one you want if your receiver can't decode the new high definition formats? This is supposed to allow the ps3 to decode the signal instead of the receiver. When I use PCM my Denon shows that's it's getting 5.1 channels of input when I watch movies and play games. Also doesn't the TV or Stereo automatically downmix the 5.1 to stereo if it only has two speakers? When I watch blu-ray movies I use Linear PCM I think it's called and for DVD's and games I use bitstream.

Right now I have a pair of RF-82s and a Denon 2807 and I am also building a subwoofer that will use a crown xti1000 for power. These amps are 500 on partsexpress and I am definately going to test that amp with my 82's when I get the amp. Hopefully in less than a month. I will let you know what I think if it doesn't take too long to get.

Im not 100% sure but I don't think wav files use ID3 tags for the song info but I could be totally wrong.
