  1. Thanks Kman! I was given a CDT-5800-C Version I and just ordered the Version II. Any reason they wouldn't sound good together?
  2. Well I'm excited to finally be moving towards Dolby Atmos! I ordered my Atmos speakers and am awaiting the arrival of the Denon AVR-X6400H receiver. I know I will be looking for advice from you guys that already have moved to Atmos and Auro-3D so I'm excited to take my home theater to the next level. I thought I would document my journey along the way
  3. Now the RC-7 had a much brighter, in your face sound than the RC-64 and RC-64 II. I definitely heard a noticeable difference there.
  4. It was when I had the RF-83 / RC-64 in my theater room and bought an eleven speaker Rf-7 II System on Craigslist, I brought the RC-64 II and sat it on top of the RC-64 and played one demo, switched speaker cables and to my ears, I could not tell a difference so I gave my son the RC-64 II for his bedroom setup.
  5. I'm about to be right there with you myself. I have read having 4 Atmos is much more immersive than 2 Atmos speakers. I already have 7.2 so I'll be upgrading to 7.2.4. In my setup, I'm not necessarily sure I actually hear my surround back speakers so I could likely go with a 5.2.4 and still sound great. I have debated selling a pair of my RS-62's to help fund the Atmos upgrades I want to make (receiver, speakers and subs). All of the Atmos diagrams I've seen show the in-ceiling speakers in line with the front mains. One pair would go between the front speakers and your front row and the rear atmos will go behind your listening position. Does that help?
  6. I did see Wonder Woman awhile back. Pretty intense LFE in it.
  7. Yes, me, my son and about 10 of his friends went to see it last Friday. We got there 2 hours early to be first in line. LOL. Will be great to hear in my home theater.
  8. I was not able to hear a difference between the RC-64 and RC-64 II nor between the RS-62 and RS-62 II. I only saw cosmetic differences. I would assume the same between the RC-62 and RC-62 II. The woofers are different color (bronze vs copper) but if you keep the grills on, you will never notice the difference.
  9. Over the weekend I invited a friend over to watch Thor Ragnarok. We both were THOROUGHLY impressed with the performance of the RF-7 III, RC-64 III and the Dual SB-16's.
  10. Told ya I haven't found a dealer that offers better pricing than @MetropolisLakeOutfitters. Cory is great to work with as well. Super nice guy. He will take care of you. Definitely report back and let us know what you think of them once you get them setup.
  11. @Brewmonkey, check with Cory @MetropolisLakeOutfitters as well. He is an authorized Klipsch Dealer and is great to work with. I've yet to find a dealer that has beat his pricing. Would be worth a PM or phone call to see what he can offer. His website is https://www.paducahhometheater.com/
  12. Let me clarify....I'm not sure if the actual tweeter is different. I do know they added a phase plug and modified the horn. Both will effect how it sounds and make it different than the sound of the RC-64 II. Would it still blend well with RF-7 II? Possibly so. I've just always preferred to keep my front three from the same series. Just a personal preference to make sure they are all voice matched to each other.

    What I Got Today!

    Moving on. LOL my bad...

    What I Got Today!

That's what we did. I have several outlets up front that are connected to the 20amp circuit.
  15. I have the RC-64 II and am currently reviewing the RC-64 III. My personal opinion is get the matching RC-64 II. The tweeter and horn on the RC-64 III is different than that on your RF-7 II.

    What I Got Today!

Yeah, I know zero about ground loops. I've always had them in my home, even before wakejunkie installed the dedicated circuit.

    What I Got Today!

They “should” be. Wakejunkie installed a 20amp circuit that all the electronics and subs are plugged into.
  18. It looks like I might be requesting a pair of R-115SW to review in the near future.

    What I Got Today!

Mine was with the Parasound A52+ amp. The first thing I tried was swapping cables. Even swapped two different sets of cables with same results. It's likely a bad ground in my home.
  20. Hey Billy, that's great insight! I've heard nothing but great things about the R-115SW...I guess in my brain I just assumed it couldn't have as much output as the RSW-15.
  21. $900 versus $1800 MSRP is a big difference
  22. I have not heard the R – 115SW’s but I to think that they are probably in two different leagues.
  23. Not sure. When I first bought them, I had a different cabinet and could only demo them in front of the cabinet so they have never been in a position to hear them in corners. Might be completely different.
  24. Gotcha. What I was feeling was in my chest more with the RSW-15 than the SB-16. I'm sure the SB-16 dig deeper as the RSW-15 lose authority below 30Hz and drop like a rock at 20Hz
