  1. Fantastic surrounds. Best of luck with your search
  2. @Carlosrs, originally I had RF-83 with RC64 in the theater room, then bought RF7II and used them for my 2ch setup. Not sure how long I had the RF83 with the RF7 II before buying the LaScala Trio and selling the RF-83. Honestly, I don't think there was any particular reason the RF7 II ended up in the living room with the RF83 in the theater room other than I'm a creature of habit and the RF83 had already made themselves very comfortable in my theater room. LOL Both sound fantastic for movies and for 2ch...the RF83 is just more laid back.
  3. @mustangerfourlife, please see previous post. Thanks
  4. At $7000 a pair, that's a bit more than what I'm wanting to put into subs. Appreciate all of the sub suggestions but that would better be suited in the Sub forum instead of the Garage Sale. 😉
  5. Incredible output....not so incredible frequency response. Only goes to 37Hz. Looks like they are designed for Pro Audio (concerts etc) which do not require low frequencies.
  6. @CECAA850, very possibly the Dual SVS PB16 Ultras that I'm reviewing. I love their output capability, the fact that they dig deeper and I REALLY love the convenience of being able to make adjustments to the sub on the fly via the SVS App. Tom at PSA is sending me a single S3611 (Dual 18" in Sealed Enclosure) mid-July. They have recently upgraded their amps so he wanted to wait till he had the new amp and cabinet before he sent one to me. I've also considered JTR but cannot get them to respond to any of my emails or messages on Social Media so it will likely either be the PB16's or something from PSA.
  7. Thanks. These don't come up too often. I was fortunate over the years to locate 4 of them for my theater room.
  8. SOLD I've decided to sell my beloved RSW15's in search of even bigger / better. My 4 RSW15's have served me very well in my dedicated theater room and have been well taken care of. Looking upgrade to Dual SVS PB16's, or something from PSA or JTR. All are in perfect working condition. I have 2 grill covers: - Grill #1 has 1 peg missing. - Grill #2 is missing all 4 pegs and has some type of glue on the fabric from where the previous owner attempted to glue them back on. (1) Maple RSW-15 Subwoofer - (SOLD) (1) Maple RSW-15 Subwoofer - $650.00 (1) Maple RSW-15 Subwoofer (Scratches on cabinet, few dimples on passive radiator) - $650.00 (1) Black RSW-15 Subwoofer - $650.00 Comes from a Smoke and Pet Free Home Not willing to ship unless you arrange for packing & shipping. Willing to meet you somewhere in Florida. Thanks, Michael
  9. Based on your title, I'm assuming this is not yours so I'm moving it to the Alerts Section.
  10. That seems right in line with what I heard, just a lot more technical. One day I need to learn how to use the UMIK-1 mic I purchased. LOL Thanks for sharing your findings Cory.
  11. Sorry, I forgot to post a link to the video

    What I Got Today!

The B&K 200.7 was my second multi-channel amp. It was fantastic. Only sold it when I upgraded to the Sherbourn 7/2100 (200x7) amp.
  13. Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know I'm a bit slow but I've never been an early adopter of any format. It wasn't until recently that I heard a really incredible Atmos System that I began my "Journey to Atmos". I still have a lot to learn but the (4) Klipsch CDT-5800-C II In-Ceiling Speakers have been installed. Here is a video of the install
  14. It's still going strong several years later! Love this amp.
  15. Thanks for the tips guys. $7 too! I like that. I do remember the white liner during the unboxing but honestly, I'm not sure I would have thought to remove that. Dumb question but do I put it back in after it dries or is it just for shipping purposes?
  16. Parasound is out then. It’s $1500
  17. The Parasound ZoneMaster 2350 is an 8ch amp.
  18. Thanks Gary. The 5800's have arrived! Just ordered another 100' of speaker wire. Will be installing them next week while @WakeJunkie is visiting. I'm hoping Atmos will be as significant of an upgrade as everyone says it is. I have heard two Atmos theaters and they sound fantastic. I am wondering if I will be ok with my side surrounds and back surrounds mounted where they are as Dolby recommends mounting them close to ear level (which mine are not due to room limitations).
  19. Congrats on the room! It's looking great and you are putting together a first class home theater. I like the others LOVE the sound of the RB-75's. They are indeed difficult to find. Even if you upgrade to the RF-7's, see if you can find a use for them somewhere else in your home. As far as screen height, typically as long as your eyes are in the lower 1/3 of the screen, you are fine.
  20. I had the RF-83 for many years and always liked how they sounded. The RF-7 II will have a bit more detail and will be brighter (in a good way). Check with @MetropolisLakeOutfitters to see how much he can get the RF-7 II for. He might be able to save you some money to make it an even easier decision.
  21. I agree, I don't see any benefit at all at doubling up your front speakers. Use them as surrounds, use in a bedroom or 2ch setup or sell them.
  22. They may do perfectly fine, I'm just thinking I've owned the RS-62 II for many years and have never felt I was missing anything. My guess is the THX Ultra 2 are a bit more expensive too.
  23. Typically, the THX Ultra 2 series has a flatter sound so I'm not sure how well it will pair with the brighter Reference Series but I may be wrong. The RS-62 II are perfect for the RF-7 III.

    What I Got Today!

OH YEAH!!! Now that's what I'm talking about! Congrats! That's an incredible find.
  25. Thanks Kman. Yeah, I'll likely just paint them black. No one will ever know they are Version I and Version II. While I'm at it, I might as well paint the white trim ring around my can lights. Never did get around to doing that.
