  1. Don't own one, but the Mcintosh MHT100 looks very interesting. 100 watts x 6 and 100 watts x 2 for another zone, about $5k.
  2. At $300 I think it will be tough to find something that will outperform the KSW12. I have one and have not had any trouble with it. I'm happy with its output and sound quality. Some posters on this board feel it performs better for home theater than it does for music. Let me add, I have only had longterm experince with the KSW12 and a Klipsch K-RSW(part of a sub/sat system). If you can, visit some local dealers and audition as many different subs as possible. Happy Hunting Joe T
  3. Took a look at the KSW10 manual it has line level inputs and speaker level inputs. However, it DOES NOT have speaker level outputs (pass through). The KSW12 and KSW15 do have speaker level outputs (pass through). As boa12 stated the subs internal amp only powers the subs driver.
  4. How about, as a function of the dealer locator, listing authorized internet dealers. If their are any authorized internet dealers? If Klipsch could provide this service it would be a big help, their happens to be alot of dealers on the web selling new Klipsch products and I wouldn't be suprised if a handful or maybe none at all are authorized by Klipsch. Thanks, JJT
  5. Their are CDs that are formatted in DTS, give Amazon.com and Tower Records a try. You'll find some there.
  6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR KLIPSCH. CENTO ANNI !!!!
  7. The last time I visited my local Klipsch dealer, the three salesmen in the audio room were running a pair of RF-3'S and a KSW-15. Whatever amp/receiver they were running was clipping, as they took turns sitting on the KSW-15. This is the same dealer, that to get them to budge off of retail, you have to give up a kidney. By the way Time Warner owns this chain.
  8. Doesn't the Quintet system still come with a "traditional" center, that is, two woofers and a horn tweeter, in a cabinet designed to fit on top of the TV?
  9. Any of you lucky guys get to listen to the Jubilees? If you did, how did they sound?
  10. Thanks for posting the pictures and sharing the experince.
  11. Quote from PTB "THERES A SUCKER BORN EVERY MINUTE".
  12. This is out of the KSW-12 manual: "You can connect a mono subwoofer output on your electronics to the L/LFE input using a single interconnect cable. If there is an inadequate amount of subwoofer volume even with the level control set to maximum, add a Y cord to the subwoofer end of the cable and connect to both line inputs. This will provide a significant (6dB) increase in the subwoofer's output level." Hope this helps you out.
  13. You will have more output using Y-cable.

  15. Yeah they're here. Locking down speakers and furniture.
  16. Kdenton, have you checked the fuse?
  17. Go out with a bang, get a subwoofer. Good luck.
  18. wife-said-no, I remember reading a post, think it was in the website portion of the bulletin board, stating that the website was going to be updated soon. If I had to take a guess it will probaly have something to do with the new products. Definetly like your idea.
  19. George the news is much appreciated, thanks. Would you know the woofer size on the RF-7?
  20. How about "ring my bell" by Anita something or other. It goes something like this "you can ring my bell ring it ring it ring it" Now I feel sick, excuse me.
