  1. It was great meeting your wife and you Mike. They are definitely a better fit for your room. The old girls will serve you well!
  2. Please welcome Vlentudia to the forum and the wonderful world of Klipsch! He's now the proud new owner of a pair of Lascala's that have given me many years of enjoyment.
  3. I might add that the cabinets are un-molested and have all of the stock drivers and horns as originally issued.
  4. St George is 6 hours from L.A. and 1 1/5 hours from Vegas.
  5. Yes you did, my mistake. St George, UT added to the original post.
  6. No, I'm using the bass bin only with the Trachorns and tweeters on top.
  7. I have a pair of Lascala speakers that include all of the factory issued drivers and horns. Also included are a pair of Dean G Alk Jr. crossovers, Trachorns for stock drivers, and APT (Eminence) tweeters(very very similar to Crites tweeters) with lenses. These are in very good shape with the appropriate " small dings for age". Must pick up due to size, and I'd rather have you hear them to appreciate them. Must sell due to downsizing. $1200 Location is St. George, UT
  8. A lot of 90's vinyl is spendy as hell. They didn't produce very much at all, due to low demand.
  9. I've been following this thread since it's inception. I haven't posted here in ages, and my answer is...................No, analog isn't dead, but it's in ICU. That said, it doesn't mean it's worse or better than Digital, but I listen to analog 99.9% of the time, so it's better too me. Obligatory integral formula so people know I mean business
  10. Lenco's are great when installed in a high mass plinth. Is yours slate? If it is, congratulations! If it isn't, still congratulations, they're very nice and have a great dynamic punch to them.
  11. I use an Avid Diva II SP with an Jico SAS MM1 cartridge which makes me very happy.
  12. I just bought a vinyl album of Todd Rundgren's "Something/Anything"
  13. I personally think the Tandberg is a better sounding deck, having owned both. But, the parts are unobtanium, mainly the table which gets bent if the unit falls face forward. Once they're bent they cannot be straightened completely. You can see how they can fall face forward by looking at the footers.
  14. This one is my favorite test records. Jesus will let you know if the speakers are up to snuff. I bet no one knew Jay Leno was in a Christian music group before the tonight show.
  15. Well we have one thing in common, I'm 53 also. To answer your amp question, my favorite sounding tube amps are the MC30 mono blocks. They have a smooth holographic sound that I love. You may want to adjust your meds..........just a suggestion.
  16. Because you're using probably using Safari as your browser. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Apple products, but switch to using FireFox and the problem you described will go away.... or, you can manually type in the html for a line break (you'll need a pair). I can't type them in here or it'll just render as line breaks, but each one is: less than sign "<", the letters "br", than a greater than sign ">". repeat. It will look like this, but remove the spaces I've added: < b r > < b r > Easier to switch to FireFox. It sure would be nice if this site was kinder to apple products though. I have been using an iPad lately do to shoulder surgery, and out of all the browsers available, none work without entering HTML code. I've gotten around it by making shortcuts for paragraph breaks. Sorry for the rant, carry on.
  17. I agree with Boxx an Runninshine, you should notice an improvement. I just installed an MA6450, and couldn't be happier.
  18. Congratulations, you did fine! [Y]The Blue will sound very nice after it's broke-in.
  19. Vintage Sherwood tube gear is pretty good stuff.
  20. Yes Mcintosh and Klipsch are a good pairing. Better than most solid state with Klipsch IMO.
  21. If you want to buy new, I'd go for a Rega P5, they were $999 at music direct, but sold out now. You can still get them at Needle Doctor for $1099 which is still a good deal. http://www.needledoctor.com/Rega-P5-Turntable_2?sc=2&category=353
  22. I've owned $2000 + cartridges, and I've found I enjoy MM carts in your price range much more.
