I'm in the market for some used Klipsch speakers and some have significant cosmetic blemishes, wear and tear, dings, scuffs, etc. Does anyone know of a person/company that restores speakers with these types of issues?

It's not me in that specific thread, but I did ask the same question in another thread. Looks like I'm not alone, at least.

I don't have the 2.0 update, but that is a good thought. It's hard for me to judge the audio in "MPCM" mode because I have never heard those dvds in any other mode. I do know that I am not getting any sound at all from my rear surrounds.

The HD-DVD players is connected to the receiver via HDMI. On standard DVDs, it is not an issue - it decodes in the manner I select from the DVD menu. On the HD-DVD's I have, there is no menu option to select the decoder, which should mean that it simply uses the only option available (e.g., Dolby 5.1 for Batman Begins, DTS 5.1 for Terminator 2) But, the receiver reads "MPCM" rather than DD or DTS.

Everything should be hooked up properly, and I have read the owners manual about 3 times now. The issue only is present when I play HD-DVD's. I just don't understand why the receiver display indicates "MPCM" when DTS/Dolby processing is coming from the HD-DVD.

On HD-DVD's, but not standard DVD's, the panel of the receiver indicates that the audio is "MPCM," regardless of the processing used in the source. For example, when watching Batman Begins, it says MPCM even though the movie is processed in Dolby Digital. On T-2 (Studio Canal import), it says MPCM even though it should be in DTS. On standard DVD's, the receiver displays whatever processing the movie uses, be it DD or DTS. What am I missing here? Any help at all would be appreciated.
