It's been a while since I looked it up, but I recall from several years ago that the price of a single was $1500 from Klipsch (not including shipping). I'm sure the prices are higher now. So yeah, provided it's legit and they are in working condition, that's a downright steal!

I've never heard any of the Palladium series but have heard many positive reviews. What is the factory support on this series? If a woofer or other driver gets damaged, are there replacements available?

Although I've never heard the Oris before, I would have some potential interest.

This is a forum whose primary purpose is the sharing of information. That is what I've done. As mentioned previously, I've met them in person. They are die-hard Klipsch fans. I enjoyed my conversation with them as I typically do with others that share my interest in audio and Klipsch speakers. I think they do great work, like that they are bringing old Klipsch speakers back to life, and hope that they do well enough to keep their business going. I shared their photos here because of their outstanding work and figured others here would also enjoy seeing them (if not owning them). I'd have to assume I was correct because as of today this thread has been viewed over 14,000 times. 🙂

No, I've never been there. They stopped by my place to pick up speakers they bought from me.

I'm also not a fan of the feet. I'd prefer they keep them the way they were originally designed.

Classé doesn't seem to get that much attention on the Klipsch forums which is a shame. I've mentioned it many times that Classé is among my very favorite solid-state amplifiers. Performance-wise, Classé doesn't take a back seat to any of the brands mentioned above and may actually be preferable in some (maybe all) cases. Some mention the tube-like qualities and I have to agree -- the smoothness of this amp approaches tubes. While I still prefer tubes, I've wondered to myself what I'd miss if I just went solid-state for the convenience. The answer -- I could live very happily with Classé. Classé is a great match for Klipsch Heritage. The great thing about Classé is the value you get, especially when buying used. I currently own two of their amplifiers. While I use tubes for two-channel, I use a multi-channel Classé amp for home theater. $1000 is a GREAT price for this model and a better value than what I paid for my own Classé multi-channel amp! This amp can be configured for 6, 5, 4 and 3-channels. If I didn't already have my other Classé amplifiers, I would buy this in a heartbeat!

I've owned two sets of 1978 Klipschorns (both Walnut Oil). The older one had the laser badges and the newer one had the badges that are shown on the Belles in this thread. You can probably guess that Klipsch did not wait until the calendar changed to January 1st, 1979 to make the switch. They used up all the laser badges and made the switch then -- on whatever day of the calendar that happened to be.

I'd suggest you also look at Classé. The CAV-150 is a multi-channel amp that can be configured to 3, 4, 5, or 6 channels. In six-channel mode, each channel puts out 150 watts but you can bridge two channels to get 300 watts. If you only need 3 channels, bridge three pairs to get 300 watts per channel. You are correct, but the laser logo's did not run the full calendar year of 1978. The changeover was made sometime in 1978. Ask me how I know. 😉

1978 was actually the first year for those logos.
