  1. PM received and sale pending for the RF-7's and RSW-15! The RC-7 is still available. Hogfan
  2. Price Drop >>>> OK, I can see that a package deal may be a bit harder to move than separates. So, I'm willing to split up the set as follows (again, pickup only).... RF-7's - $900 RC-7 - $400 Buy RF-7's and RC-7 for $1,200 (save $100)! Guys, I think this is a very fair price. I really don't want to sell the RSW-15 by itself until the RF-7's sell, in order to give the buyer of the RF-7's the first right to purchase it. The buyer of the RF-7's can add the RSW-15 for $700....making it $1,600 for RF-7's and RSW-15.....or $1,900 for all! I'm trying to accommodate....and again, these are really nice speakers! Hogan
  3. I wish I had the room and the mulah, I would take those off your hands too. The LS's are still sounding great by the way! SB, How about we work out a partial trade? You already have a set of 7's....my setup would round out your HT nicely!
  4. In the near term, once these sell, I'll probably use my Forte II's. Down the road, I'm not quite sure. I had LS's a few years back and do miss letting them go.
  5. RF-7's and RSW-15....SOLD! The time has come for me to part ways with my RF-7 setup. Since I spend most of my time listening to music, and not watching movies, I'm going back to a more simple 2-channel setup. That said, I have for sale (all in cherry finish) a pair of RF-7's, an RC-7 and an RSW-15. They are in very good condition. All speaker grills have their pegs, except for the RSW-15, in which a couple have broken off (very common from my understanding). $1,900 takes it all! I prefer to sell this as a package. It does make for one hell of an HT setup. If I watched more movies, I would not even be thinking about selling these. I'm in Little Rock, AR. Pickup only....no shipping. The attached pics are without the grills, but I have all the grills and they are in great shape....no tears or snags. I did not pull these out and take pics from all angles, because they are still in use....for now. However, they are all in very good condition! Hogfan
  6. I saw two of these on their site over the weekend, $149 ea, from the same store.
  7. Gorm, I just sent you a PM. Hogfan
  8. I am very sorry to hear this. I did not know him, but he seemed like a great guy (and I'm sure he was), from his posts on this forum. My condolences to you and your family! Hogfan
  9. I called Mouser and they helped me pinpoint the lamps/bulbs needed. I asked about using LED's, but they said what Marvel added.....a mod would need to be made to the unit, by adding resistors. That said, I just ordered regular lamps/bulbs. I'm sure LED's would have been a better option, long term, but I did not want to have to mod the unit. Thanks to all for your input....much appreciated!
  10. Much appreciated! The only fuse lamps are the 6.3V/250mA ones.....6 is needed. The other two lamps/bulbs are different.....they are tiny bulbs at the end of wire leads. It looks like they will need to be cut off and new ones soldered on. Look like Mouser's the place. Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the info....I'll give Mouser a look. I was hoping there was a kit of all the lamps needed, which would make it easier to buy.
  12. Does anyone know where I can find the bulbs/lamps for the HK 430 and 730? I need the fuse lamps, stereo indicator bulb and the pointer light bulb. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks, Hogfan
  13. My brother from LA (lower Arkansas) drove up to MO and picked these up yesterday. He swung by my house in LR last night to show them to me....they are sweet looking....and big. They make my 301's look puny. He is going to set them up in his shop (40 x 60). He's been running some old Pioneers, which sounded decent, but I told him these will take his sound to another level. 14. babadono, OK, it appears my 1/4" cable is a TS version. I'll switch to RCA cables and see if the sound quality improves. Thanks for your help! Hogfan
  15. My QSC amp does have 1/4" inputs. I'm not sure if they are balanced or not. How would I tell? Also, what is the difference between TRS and TS cable?
  16. I checked and I'm running 1/4" directly from mixer to the amp.
  17. I'm pretty sure I'm running 1/4" directly from mixer to my QSC amp (I'll check this evening). When I was using my HK 730, I know I was running RCA from pre-out to the QSC amp.
  18. I'm pretty sure I use the 1/4 inch cables.
  19. The mixer is a Cortex R1U....single space rack mixer. It sounds decent, but not as good as using the pre-outs on my HK 730!
  20. That's kind of what I thought....just wanted to confirm. The mixer I have cost like $150. It looks like the better mixers are at least 3X the cost of this one. I'll probably look for another older receiver with pre outs on it for $200 or so. Thanks!
  21. I have been using an older receiver's preamp out to a power amp running my KP 301's for tailgate/block parties....and the sound is really great. However, I recently picked up a mixer to use (to save my receiver from outdoor use) and I can tell a noticeable difference in the sound quality.....not as clean nor loud as using the receiver's preamp. Is this just the case with using a mixer vs a preamp from a vintage receiver? I'm trying to determine if I need a better mixer or maybe just pick up another vintage receiver and use the preamp out like I have been doing. Your help is much appreciated! Hogfan
  22. kg4guy, where are you located? Hogfan
  23. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I certainly hope your daughter gets well. Prayer is very powerful! Hogfan
  24. Guys I appreciate your input. I use the 301's for garage duty and outdoor theater use. Hogfan
