  1. I'm looking at adding a little low-end to my KP 301's. I'd like to keep it under say $500 if possible. What would be a good pair of subs to add....something that would complement the 301's very well? I prefer to buy used (per my price point). Thanks, Hogfan
  2. Kohill, I'm interested, I sent you a pm. Hogfan
  3. Igusan, Welcome to the forum! What part of AR are you in? I might be interested. Hogfan
  4. The speakers I was hoping to buy ended up selling before I could get these sold. Therefore, my speakers are no longer for sale...as of now. Thanks, Hogfan
  5. I've decided to return to a 2 channel only setup in my game room. Therefore, I have for sale my RF-7 setup in cherry finish. This includes a pair of RF-7's, an RC-7 and an RSW-15 sub. All speakers are in great condition! They all come with their matching grills. I have a lead on a pair of heritage speakers and need to sell these rather quickly. Therefore, I'll sell the setup for $1,900, if bought before the heritage pair I'm eying sells. Right now, I will only sell the complete set. This is pick up only in Little Rock, NO SHIPPING. Here's your chance for an awesome HT setup....don't miss it. Thanks, Hogfan
  6. I live in LR (and have for over 20 yrs), but was born and raised in the burbs of Hope.....Emmet and Prescott. Sometimes now I feel like the Travis Tritt song....."Country aint country no more"..
  7. These "flippers" are everywhere I guess...we certainly have a couple here in Little Rock. They are buying at good prices and then immediately reselling, or at least pricing the Klipsch gear, at absurd prices. I guess they are making a business out of it. Obviously, there are many uninformed buyers out there. In order for any of us to find a good deal, you have to be super quick and lucky. Hogfan
  8. Philly, I think you are right on with your offer. You can buy pristine Khorns for 2,500 or so all day long. I've seen a few pair in good condition that sold for under 2,000. Now that doesn't mean that everyone is willing to sell their gear for market prices. Some people refuse to adjust their prices to what the market actually is and will hold out for the possibility of reaching an uninformed buyer. For me, I don't pay above market prices and sometimes will only buy if the price is on the low side of market....it just depends on what it is. If this seller is still holding out for 4,000 on these Khorns, he really does not want to sell them....and probably won't! Hogfan

    WTB HK 730

Thanks CECCA. I'm keeping an eye on the auction sites, but was hoping to find one from a forum member. If one doesn't pop up here for sale, I might have to go the auction route. Hogfan

  13. These may be the ones I called about a few weeks back....the guy was asking $4K for them. At that price, he'll be holding on to them a while. Hogfan

    A fond farewell

John, Your post certainly has me thinking and realizing just how blessed I am and how wonderful life is. As challenging as life can be, it really is wonderful...and a true blessing. All too often many of us get caught up in our own daily struggles and don't realize it, until we are near the threshold. Thanks for helping me get re-focused on what's important! You'll be in my prayers. May peace be with you and your family! Hogfan
  15. Set, So, you own a set of split LSI's that you want to sell? Where are they located? If Arkansas, let's talk. If Oregon, there is a small problem....too far away. Thanks, Hogfan
  16. Which split LSI's? Where are they? Thanks!
  17. Tim, I might be interested. Do these have the industrial woofers....I believe the K43's? Hogfan
  18. SB, how about you sell the LS's back to me and go ahead and get those Khorns? I'll do my part to help. [] Hogfan
  19. Well, I was the first customer through the door this morning at the Pawn Shop that had these, but I was not quick enough. I was looking them over (decent condition), until an employee told me they had already sold (or been spoken for)...I guess via an email or voice mail message. A note on them had 1,300 and HOLD for an individual. The buyer is one of a couple of "sharks" in the area that are in it for business purposes only. At 1,300....very good buy! They will resurface on CL very soon for probably $2,500 or so. Moral of the story, if you want to find a good buy, you better be ultra-quick....the sharks are swimming!
  20. I am about 5 minutes away from these. I'll keep you posted. Thanks! Hogfan
  21. I certainly don't want to interfere with anyone's pricing with regards to their speakers. However, to help offer a hand in getting them sold, I'll say this. There is usually a direct correlation with pricing and the time it takes to sell. I have seen speakers being offered for sale that took forever to sell because of higher than market pricing. On the other hand, I've sold items a bit below market to quickly move them. That said, unless a really uninformed buyer comes along, it might take a while to sell these for $800. I know I passed on a pair of minty walnut Forte II's in my area a couple of years ago, because seller was asking $600. I later bought a set in black, in good condition, for $400. Good luck with the sale. I they bring $800, that is wonderful, my black pair will then be on the market for at least $600. Hogfan
  22. I do have a pair of Bose speakers I would trade.....but I expect some boot! Hogfan
  23. Another item I have up for sale....Sansui AU-717 integrated amp. It works great.....and is a "beast". $225 plus shipping.
