  1. William J, Great info....I have a couple questions on the sand. I'm assumming the bag of sand would be best directly in the middle of cabinet bottom, is that correct or does it really matter? Seconly, were talking Sandwich size here right? Thanks.....
  2. Say no to DVD audio! It will be a marketing flop. SACD has potential and can succeed if everyone can agree on what steps need to be taken to increase releases and more importantly lower unit prices. From every review I've seen SACD just cleans DVD-a's clock in every important aspect. But more importantly DVD-Audio will require the listener with dramatic increases in investments. New processing and loudspeakers would just be the beginning. The compatibility with exsisting systems and Sony's massive inventory of titles, should, in the long run, spell success for SACD.
  3. JimG. My CF-2's were built on the 299th day of 1995. Thanks for any info...
  4. Tony...sorry about the mistake. Not very many on this board are familiar with the Epic's so I figured that you just wanted the basic info. Are the CF-3's the first ones in the line that you have owned? I'd be interested in seeing what you gave for them. Just love my CF-2's so I can only imagine you got a steal of a deal. Later
  5. JimG. Could you please send me any information on those revisions. I didn't realize there was three revisions. My epic CF-2's were made in late 95. THANKS
  6. Sell the KLF 20's and buy some Bose!
  7. The epic CF-1's have two 6 1/2 woofers and the CF-2's have two 8 inch woofers. Both cabinets are the same width but the CF-2's are taller...37 inches and deeper..16 inches, than the CF-1's. The CF-1's are only 34 inches tall and 15 inches deep.
  8. rrstones.....My first experience with Bose 901's came sometime in 1989. My manager kept bragging up these speakers of his and one thing led to another and there I was sitting on his couch while he played a few select c.d's. I still remember to this day how hard it was to keep a straight face as he was smiling from ear to ear thinking that I was just overwhelming by the Bose sound. Being the nice guy I am I stayed for awhile and complimented him on a great system. About a year before this I had been introduced to Klipsch by some Pink Floyd through some Forte's. My point is I have never been more dissappointed in a "so called classic speaker", than I was by the 901's. How could nine 4-1/2 drivers...all identical, sound good. There are many fine speakers out there today for far less than the 901's go for that to me would sound better. Just my opinion....
