  1. Maybe things will come down now that mortgage interest is going up. lol.
  2. True. Sadly enough, I had to sell a pair of 1978 KWO's I bought from the original owner in 2008. It was my first post on this forum, actually. They were all original and immaculate and I paid $500 for the pair. He was a retired Delta airlines pilot and they were downsizing some things. I bought the Khorns, a pair of custom made Barzillay cabinets with tambour doors, and some other things from him. Helluva nice guy. I sadly had to sell them when the company I was with went under in 2009 and I sold tons of stuff off, sold my house, paid everything off, and went back to college at 43. I wish I could have kept them. The images are long gone from that thread but this is what they looked like.
  3. For whatever reason, I've been deliberating on Khorns for my upstairs room. But, then I remember that it's 15' width (and 28 deep) but I do sit 14' back and, not to mention, the prices are wackadoo right now. Maybe they will come back down like the housing market has shifted, again, with the rise of interest rates. (sure glad I'm at 2.75%) I really have ho desire to pay $4k+ for a pair. Just not worth it to me; so I tend to talk myself out of it.
  4. Anyone need parts for their CF-3's? Seems like black horns so maybe v2 or v3's. The woofers are slightly different between the v1's and 2/3's, also. But, for spare drivers, it's something. No affiliation. From the ad for posterity Klipsch CF-3 parts. Perfect condition and in perfect working order. Woofer $200ea ( I have 4 available) Horn lens $100 ( I have 2 available) Tweeter drivers $80 (I have 2 available) Crossovers $100 ( I have 2 available) Ports $15 ( I have 4 available) Grills $100 (I have 2 available) Woofer gaskets $20 ( I have 2) Tweeter lens gaskets $20 (I have 2) Comments are off… I don’t need expert opinions… parts are rare for these. If you know, you know. Message me for details. Southern Indiana 47714 https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/453966176721510/
  5. @mcp What kind of speakers did you run with this? I've always been curious about the newer NAD gear of this style as I was an NAD rep from 2001 till 2009 but these style products were only barely mentioned back then. I know the Nat's Sales Mgr for Lenbrook and tried to buy a new C399 awhile back but they are 10x oversold and won't be able to sell me one. ha
  6. I swear I didn't see that in the beginning. lol My bad!
  7. Since the horns can unbolt from the wood, it makes all of it pretty easy to ship. I bought the exact set from another member here back in 2017 and had them shipped from CA to AR and they arrived just fine. They were packed well with heavy duty bubble wrap and a good double wall box. But I know it's' time consuming to ship. GLWS
  8. Pretty sure I reading the 5th paragraph it's $2650 including shipping.
  9. You probably can't get PM's yet since you only have one post, so, post 4 more times so you can. At least I think that's what it is. There are some other options, too, although used do come up on occasion when they get changed out.
  10. I still use PayPal as I've had it since I started on ebay back in 2001 so it's always been there. Or, I just use a credit card to buy stuff just in case. Now, if I'm selling something and they want it shipped, I'm back to USPS money orders like the old days. If they don't like that, then come pick it up and pay cash. lol Since the IRS changed that reporting stuff from $20,000 to $600, I've been out. I don't make a living with PP stuff...just rarely sell things now.
  11. Yeah....you're not going to get a real non-biased opinion from a Klipsch forum about Infinity speakers. That question would be better asked on a different forum like Audiokarma. I've owned KLF-30's and I've owned Infinity RS-IIIb's, RS-II's, Quantum 3's, and Kappa 7's and mainly it's a different presentation. For most things, I preferred the Infinity's but it depends on your musical tastes and what you listen to most often. No one speaker will do it all perfectly, unfortunately.
  12. This above..... I'm glad I grew up in that era.
  13. Maybe they can cut them open and stuff new caps in like the tube amp guys sometimes do with their quad can caps. You know....to keep that stock unmolestered look.
  14. Tried that....nothing. Jeez...
  15. Post a link to it. Anymore, who knows...
  16. Pretty sure you're not supposed to list your own speakers in the Alerts section and Garage Sale.
  17. There are schools, medical practices, and businesses out there still running Windows 7 because they don't care to upgrade. With all of our current city computers, there will come a time we will do the upgrade but that's a ways out still and some are ready for 11...but programs aren't. The crappy part will be having to update all of the police car and fire rigs to Windows 11 and hope that all their programs work. That's the main issue. Other than that, my house PC's are a mix of i3, i5 and i7 quad core computers that I'm not really worried about any time soon. Most range from 8 to 16gb of memory and all use solid state drives. I think a couple could go to Windows 11 but not in a rush. No one in our house are hard core gamers.
  18. Sometimes searching on Google brings up old articles and people actually reply to them.
  19. I have one of those books somewhere upstairs. Haven't seen it since we moved in, though.
  20. Is there anyone here who has this guys info i.e. email address per chance? He had listed a Parasound preamp I was sort of interested in and now everything is gone. Maybe a moderator has it and could message it to me?
  21. @Tom Bird I've personally used these for years and a great electrolytic replacement. I used all Mundorf caps and resistors in my ads L1230's with great results. https://www.partsconnexion.com/MUNDORF-71878.html
  22. I guess no one is going to offer much more info about the woofer. Just keep an eye on ebay as there are no parts whatsoever for the Epic series. Not even emblems.
  23. Oh man....that stinks! @Chief bonehead Any recommended replacement woofer?
