  1. Was that you that just paid? PM me your shipping info...there's no address or note listed on the transaction.
  2. Ok....I'll mark 2 sold on here and on another forum, I think 4 more are sold. I'll have more of these ready to go within the next few days and will update when more are ready. PM's coming to both of you. Thanks!
  3. I have 6 laptops that were retired from a school and I've gone through and wiped the hard drives and done a licensed and clean install of Windows 7 Pro 32 bit. I've installed the latest Java, Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash Player, Microsoft Security Essentials, and also Open Office (open source version of Word, Excel, Power Point, etc). These use the Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 CPU, have 3GB of memory and a 120GB hard drive. All drivers are updated as are Windows updates to this point. Power supply is included. Please let me know if you are interested and have any questions. $90 shipped via PayPal gift payment.
  4. I have CF-3's and also had KLF-30's. The CF-3's won in my setup and the KLF-30's went on down the road. Awesome finds. KLF-20's look so small next to the CF-3's.
  5. 15wpc @ 4-ohm @ 1kHz. Hmmm.... That would equate to about what.. 4 to 5 watts a side full bandwidth? Tube preamp stage and SS output.
  6. I've bought a few pairs of those through the years but never found any love in their sound. But they are definitely easy to sell to others who somehow do. Buy 'em cheap, sell 'em high.
  7. You guys are just way too smart... And I'm thankful for that fact, too. I may just give those Atlas drivers and horns a try along with some K-77/T-35 tweeters and the K-33 woofers and go from there. They aren't crazy expensive. I'm just having to keep this priced reasonably as much as I'd like to go over the top...I just can't. My hearing above 12k isn't great and tinnitus doesn't make it any better. There's a point of diminishing return, for me. I've got the wood ready but we've had crazy rain here in Arkansas lately so haven't been able to start cutting yet. Oh, and the Holidays put a damper on those plans, too. :/
  8. I spent 30 years in Home Audio/Video/Automation and the last 10 of it as a Manufacturers Rep/Distributor. We rep'd TV companies like Samsung, Sony, Sharp, Mitsubishi, and Pioneer. It cracks me up about all this new video hype and the crap they keep trying to come up with to sell TV's. Look at 3D...pretty much a flop. There's no excitement in video and no margins in it that places really care to sell TV's. I could care less about 3D, 4K, or BR549 video. 1080p looks great and OTA broadcast looks great. If you need something better than that, you spend too much time watching tv. But that's just me... Too many years in the industry gave me a don't give a shard attitude. They can build crap TV's that won't last long and expect us to buy new ones every 5 years. Nah...
  9. That's the main thing I was wondering about. If the horn would go low enough in frequency to mate up with the K-33 woofer. 600Hz would be too high right?
  10. Thanks for the info. So, does that make these contenders for my Belle project in using those horns or maybe get those drivers/horns and use the Parts Express horn to start? I can always rebuild the baffle plate for the mid/tweeter if (when) things change.
  11. Chris. I appreciate your input on the various horns. You guys are far more knowledgeable than me when it comes to the horns therefore I rely on your input. I had seen these Atlas drivers and Beta Sound horns on ebay at a reasonable price which is what got me to pondering I'd they'd work. Not much info on Beta Sounds out there other than they were out of Dallas and made some rather cool cabinets with similarities to Klipsch drivers. http://m.ebay.com/itm/Atlas-Sound-PD-5VH-Model-K-55-V-With-Beta-Horns-/141835902094?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE
  12. Those will work? Aren't they too short in the throat length compared to the K-400 and 500?
  13. Building may be an option but I had found some Beta Sound horns with the dimensions below. They would appear to be too small for Belle's...more like Heresy. Height: 5" Width: 11-1/2" Depth: 10-3/4"
  14. Someone buy those Cornwall for me for $400 and I'll take them for the drivers for my Belle build!
  15. Anyone out there know the dimensions of the K-500 horns used in the Belle? Was looking for length, width and depth if possible. Thanks!

    pulsating tinnitus

I've had it for maybe 10 years too but it's from concerts, playing in bands, being in car audio/home audio/video for 30 years, headphones, etc...at least I'm told. I lost 50 lbs and it wasn't any better. Gained 40 of it back from marital stress but its still the same. Some days it's louder than others...but always there. It won't go away now.
  17. Posted 28 days ago. You'd think Belle's would be gone at that price. So far away...sigh.
  18. Those are Phil's speakers...or pic anyway. Can tell by the usual background.
  19. If cassettes are hip then I lost being hip about 25 years ago. I don't miss that format a bit. Yeah, they could sound good but...I lost interest. Donated all mine years ago. Even the Denon and Maxell tapes that were dang good for their time are all gone except for the ones my best friend kept that were made years ago on the Nak and Denton decks at the audio store I worked at.
  20. You could always just make a basic grill to the left and right of the dog house similar to what the Belle's do. Then you could hide whatever is back there.
