  1. I'm pleased to be the one who brought them home this afternoon. It was a pair of '84 Heresy in lacquered oak (HOL) with slant risers. Overall very good condition with a couple very minor dings. I had replied to the ad within an hour of it being listed Sunday morning & I was concerned when I didn't hear anything until that night at which point I was told that the speakers were still available but there were also about 15 others interested. The seller finally called Monday afternoon and the first thing she asked was if she'd badly underpriced them, so we talked a little about value. It was clear to me that she didn't know much about what she had, and probably didn't do much research though she was the original owner. She asked if I'd pay more, so I asked how much and she said $250, so I countered with $225 which we settled on. I didn't feel like she was jerking me around, more that she was surprised by the amount of interest and having second thoughts about her asking price. I know I'm happy and I think she was satisfied with the deal as well. First time I've had a craigslist price go up though! --Larry
  2. This doesn't directly answer your question, however, I'll give a solid "thumbs up" for Schiit's line of DACs. I didn't know anything about this company but stumbled upon Jason Stoddard's http://www.head-fi.org/t/701900/schiit-happened-the-story-of-the-worlds-most-improbable-start-up and was intrigued with his approach to both audio design and business. Later on I found his partner, Mike Moffat, http://www.head-fi.org/t/784471/what-a-long-strange-trip-its-been-robert-hunter and was even more intrigued by his perspectives on the development of DAC technology. Intrigued enough that my current DAC is the Schiit Yggdrasil which replaced my Wadia 861b CDP. --Larry
  3. The broken links Sam mentioned persist in the index of the Dope From Hope documents; here are the missing filenames if that might help the weblord to find and fix: http://www.klipsch.com/Education/dope-from-hope Dope_690520_v10n1_reprinted_710400.pdf Dope_710317_v11n1_reprinted_711100.pdf Dope_720300%20v_12n2.pdf Dope_721025%20v_12n5.pdf Dope_730600_v13n2_revised_731100.pdf Dope_770900_v_16n8.pdf Thanks to Chris for the reference to the combined document. Sincere kudos to the folks at Klipsch for making the files in the Education section available! --Larry
  4. These are mine and yes I will ship via FedEx Ground to the US.
  5. These are my listings & for reference, I also have a pair of K-401 horns on eBay. I was wondering about why I was all of a sudden getting e-mails! http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/ele/5495444208.html http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-of-Klipsch-K-401-horns-for-Klipschorn-La-Scala-/182059246504? --Larry
