  1. Those things look brand new. Nice work as always.
  2. I would try the combo with each set of speakers, then let your ears decide which you like best.
  3. Same here, I've got one of their dac/amps for cell phones and it works quite good.
  4. Does it drive all frequencies at equal SPL for a whole duration or just in spurts. I think duty cycle on a welder or air compressor?
  5. I would go as far as saying 2 of the same manufactures, with the same topology, etc. For example, Parasound HCA-750 versus Parasound HCA-1000.
  6. I am more than likely wrong, but does it have something to do with impedance swings and the amount of power it takes to keep everything under control?

If it's just the tops not matching, put the tops in storage, get k402, and call it good.
  8. Hey I'm not excited, but if the mods are going to delete post, maybe delete ones like Geezins as well so the remaining of the thread makes sense. How was I supposed to know there was a previous post, hence why I said, that it looked as he pulled up a 9 year old thread. Maybe a "report post as spam" button/option needs to be added so it doesn't appear that people are randomly reporting threads as spam?
  9. It looks as you pulled up a 9 year old thread to accuse it of being spam?
  10. Nice setup. Is that an Aussie?
  11. That one dudes voice is super low, like almost unbelievable. Really cool though, its amazing what we as humans are capable of.
  12. For a good price as well. If they were local, I'd jump on them, but shipping would kill the deal.
  13. Maybe an EV HP640, definitely a K-69 driver ( First series P. Audio BMD750) http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/STARINMANUALS/Bosch - EV/HP640.pdf
  14. I would definitely look for something that is ROON ready. Not sure if you are using ROON, but it's a great program if you are using streaming services such as Tidal, run a media server with High Resolution audio, and want to share it amongst other devices simultaneously.
  15. I always wanted to try this. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-TOhlcASDljE/p_745C3050/NAD-C-3050.html?XVINQ=GLX&XVVer=1GDU&awcr=653147671592&awdv=m&awnw=g&awug=9024602&awkw=pla-2005823365395&awmt=&awat=pla&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-_mvBhDwARIsAA-Q0Q5DcMRrvhbiAhU8L2ZUc5usQhMMiT0ThDyAFbK0DUT-sZpssZBLffsaAoZWEALw_wcB
  16. That's usually how it goes for me. The last time we moved (which is in our current house), we had a pizza/painting party. So before the guests showed up my wife looked at me and said "Well, I'm surprised the stereo isnt here yet. What are you waiting for?" It's good to have someone who either enjoys your hobby with your or understands the importance to you.
  17. If I was in that situation not having anyone telling me i can't, I would definitely add sound panels where they are needed right way.
  18. Nice seeing the speakers were the first thing in the house.
  19. So wouldn't a more fairer comparison be to compare to a restored vintage MC275?
  20. You probably have to be a member of the group?
  21. I believe that would depend on the DAC used. For instance, my Raspberry pi uses DAC +, whereas my Node uses the internal DAC. I haven't spent enough time with the Node or comparing the 2, but i would be interested in seeing how much better it could get with an external DAC. Either way both sound good. If you are looking for a low cost entry, the Raspberry Pi is a great option, and there are many quality DACs to choose from.
