  1. sounds good, please report back.
  2. If one had a split Lascala or just a Lascala cab with the top hat cut off. Could you build a riser like ported box and take off the access panel and do the mod out the bottom, or could you flip it up side down and do it that way. I am just asking.
  3. I have never in house demoed Yamaha, but in show rooms I never cared for them. They did seem to be harsh I do know Supertramp through my Cornwalls with Harman/Kardon receiver sounds great. I just dont care for the movie mixes, my family some what has the tv going alot minus the bad dialog on the center I think it sounds great with no fatigue. I would try another receiver maybe a friend has one you can try or do what I do start with a less expensive model or something used and if you like it upgrade. Good luck with this as it can be frustrating with the situation since you just spent good money on good speakers.
  4. Nice man, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this thread I had to make my self a drink real quick. Congrats on the baby get you some bass cds so when the baby is crying you can calm her with some bass. Keep up the good work keep the pics coming when you have time.
  5. Group, Arson Anthem Album, Arson Anthem Genre, Metal Year 2007 I like it cause its got a real raw thrashy sound that your parents don't want you listening to. The band has some of my fav. musicians such as Mike Williams on vocals, Phil Anselmo on guitars and yes the one only and you are reading this correct Hank Williams the 3rd, and of course Collin Yeo on bass. The reason they came up with the name is Mike the front man lost his house and all his belongings in a Arson fire to his home during Katrina down in New Orleans. Now the band actually formed in 2006 but the first album came out in 2007, hopefully that doesn't exclude me from the contest.
  6. I was quickly typeing so I could go bowling. I will be even more excited when I get my new receiver and replacement ps3. You'll need one of these to operate your PS3 with the harmony.....works well http://www.logitech.com/en-ca/remotes/accessories/devices/5732 http://blog.logitech.com/2010/05/11/harmony-tips-and-tricks-controlling-your-playstation-3-with-a-harmony-remote/ Yea I was looking at those, that will have to be one of the next things.

  8. I went with the One, Got a decent price so what the heck.
  9. In the manual it does talk about delays, if you have excessive background noise, or someone in the way these could cause delays.
  10. We'll I think I am sold, I will start with the 650 if they are rechargeable. I have read were they aren't and are so I will have to do some more digging, if not I will go with the 700 for the price of about 45-65 depending on which model. If I like them or I should say if the family likes them I will go with the one once I have my ht done. Thanks for all the input Duder.
  11. What you should do is cut out some of those shelves and put some Lascalas in there and move those Heresies to your rears.
  12. According to the website looks like it will mate with my devices fine, next question any one have any experience with the 650, or 700 models. I know alot of people use the Harmony one but what is the difference between the three. I will email logitech and see what they say as well. Thanks. Nick
  13. I have a older Sony Bravia tv about 4 years old, a Motorola cox cable box, and am looking at a new Onkyo receiver. Just wondering if anyone has had issues with Harmony remote are they pretty universal between these. Any specific models to look at or stay away from. Thanks Duder
  14. I did go back last night and noticed there was less items for sale.
  15. Congrats on the nice buy, I recently sold my Fortes I had them posted on cl for about a week when forum member wallflower purchased them from me. Funny the more folks I personally get to know the more I find out they are more like me, Which I guess that could be scary[6].
  16. Dingman, I like that alot different from what were used to seeing but its cool. Which center channel is that.
  17. If you put your speakers behind the screen make sure you go with audio transparent screen that way it won't muffle the sound.
  18. I don't get why you would need a false wall for the front.
  19. I have the r-5650-s in wall surrounds, I have had them about 3 years they are good quality and sound great in a poorly set up system. So in a good setup they should sound even better but that is in a surround configure with only 5.1. I have not herd the in wall fronts you are looking at, but I do have a buddy with a room about the size of yours if not bigger and he is running cheapo in walls that I think are even smaller then the Klipsch ones and his sounds pretty good. I don't think you would be disappointed with them but like CECAA said if you go with floor standing you won't have problems with your walls when and if you want to upgrade. I went 50/50 I have floor standing speakers on the l/c/r and the in walls for surround maybe look into this with some nice reference fronts. Hopefully this doesn't confuse you. Good luck with your search, I think the danely clone for a riser would be a great idea.
  20. Funny in the middle of reading this, my wife calls me. She is down in Georgetown Texas, and happened to stop off at the ikea store in that area telling me how they have great stuff including some nice shelfs for my records.
  21. Sorry I wasn't clear on that, I was saying I would contribute if jhoak was to adopt one or two.
  22. I'll buy you a bag of dog food. If you want, I could make a donation to help feed them if you were serious??? Thats the norm to do now at the no kill shelters.
  23. That one kind of looks like ginger, but a little darker. Good luck finding them a home, it is a lot harder finding pit bulls homes. Especially around here most city's in the area have bans on them. Nice looking dog.
