  1. I remember a time when someone had mentioned that no one from the Hope factory owned any Klipsch. I thought there was even a donation to purchase a pair of Heresies for their break room or something along those lines.
  2. If I had that happen when I first purchased, I would have as well. But this far into it, I would dissect it (as I did to get it working again) and try to figure out the issue.
  3. I would have to agree with what most of you are saying. Other than cool looking and that it plays "decent" sound, there isn't anything magical about this. Hence why its making its way to my office.
  4. Funny, I went to turn this on several months ago and nothing. Main fuse was blown, replaced it and it instantly blew. After sitting for several months, I figured I would dive into it and see what was wrong. Luckily the diodes and bridge rectifiers were easy to test. I ended up finding one small bridge rectifier allowing complete voltage through. So I ordered 100 off of Amazon for $7.00, received the next day and is now back up and running. This is going to move into my office to run my Heresies, eventually adding a vinyl setup to it. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  5. I have a Monoprice Hybrid that is a tube pre with ss power section. The pre amp tunes are 6n2-j and 6P1, 2 of each. Not sure how they are configured and can't seem to get Monoprice to give me a schematic. Anyway, is it worth rolling some tubes and if so, does anyone know what I can replace these tubes with? 6. I'm sure he is and I am willing to help. You pay the $2500.00 and take the single you need, I will take the other. Then they would be split.
  7. Wonder what the "latest version" of thr Tractix horn is. Also, never noticed it before, but it appears to be The Jubilee in a raw form in the background. If k402 is same dimensions, than this can give a general idea of the size of the bass bin. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  8. I believe the "only 75" Is pertaining to the 75th anniversary version. From my understanding there will be other variations that may offer more than 75 pairs. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  9. Those appear to be verticals, which were also Cornwall IIs.
  10. I've used hang man French cleat for a similar size/weight speaker and it's holding good. I do have the wall side screwed into extra studs I installed when finishing the basement. https://hangmanproducts.com/products/professional-french-cleat-hanger Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  11. I agree or keep you eye out for a pair around $1200.00 Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  12. My hiding spot is anywhere my wife doesn't know about. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  13. I'm going to say you suck because I passed up on several due to low funds. Now that I have funds I cannot find one. But have spotted one that is new in box, but doesn't power on. If he comes down on price, I might take a chance to repair it. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  14. I agree, one of the things that caught my eye when surfing the web one day, kind of how I ended up here.
  15. Even considering the fact I would pay $3k for a lot of Belles out there, that there is a solid $3k pair of speakers. If I was one of the ones out there looking for a pair, I would be making a point to get off of work and head for these.
  16. Cigarbum and Boxx, both gone but not forgotten. 2 great men with great taste in audio. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  17. Getting a dog born on a farm where he could run free is a challenge to teach to walk with leash. But he's learning stay, lay, and shake relatively quick. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  18. Correct, great price with shipping, glws. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  19. I don't think you can go wrong with that setup. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  20. Sad news indeed, terrible sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family and friends.
  21. I don't know, maybe its me, but couldn't one build a 2'x2' MEH horn and set it on of a tapped horn and have something better, just not so "hifi" looking? Not to crazy about the side mounted woofers myself.
  22. Interesting how there is new technology forming with the Celestion driver and with Danleys new home audio line. Not together, but there have been alot of discussions lately about the 2. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk
  23. @mark1101 though there are parts of your statement I would have to agree with, there are a couple perspectives and even a question that may change one's thoughts. Everyone trys to justify and upgrade or upgrade by price. One in most situations would have to look at this as if they were deciding on drivers if purchasing new. That being said, think the Celestion would be the better route, even if considering new Celestion over current market pricing of used TADs. I was also under the impression that Roy designed a different phase plug for the Celestion. If that be the case, how much more of an improvement does that Celestion driver on the K402 offer? Also, was Chris able to obtain these versions to compare and if not, how much better than are the new Klipsch Celestion versions over the TAD? Is it possible that Roy designed a better driver/horn combo that is now serviceable, obtainable, and more cost effective? I was chasing alot of those questions with BMS coaxial.
