  2. I believe they may have a better phase plug (so i've read on the world wide web) than the 2446 and you can get Beryllium Truextent diaphragms.

    What I Got Today!

I live in Omaha and one of our outside haulers is from Greeley, not much to do in Greeley other than visiting family.
  4. After a long week of painting the rack and re wiring everything, I finally got everything hooked up and somewhat operational. I still have few things before the rack is fully shoved into the closet, after which I'll focus on fine tuning the system. So far everything is working great and sounding great. Right out of the gate there's a lot of improvement with the higher preamp voltage. As for surround duty I'm currently using one of Parasound zone amps until I find a multi-channel that I can afford.
  5. Thats one of fedex's stipulations and request that. I do as well, if it's a rare item, then I pack or find a better way to ship. If it's something that can be replaceable, I let them handle it. Some or hit or miss. I let them wrap some Eliptrac horns from Dave Harris, they did a fantastic job, and everything arrived safely.
  6. You might want to grab a pot or two of coffee for that one.
  7. If you have the mounting plates, why not just set it on top of the Lascala? This is what I did with my DIY Belle and K402s. I will have to dig up a picture, but it just sets on top and hangs off the back.
  8. Nice, I would love to own a olive drab Thunderbird Bass.
  9. I've got my eye on a couple, but may have to get by with one of my zone amps for now. Since i ordered a rack kit, I also decided to paint my rack and redo all the wiring, so everything is torn apart. Probably be another week or so, hopefully the weekend of the 18th.
  10. FedEx wont typically cover it unless they pack it. Now if I offer shipping and someone wants a quote, its FedEx and their packing service. Unless its completely non replaceable, then maybe personal delivery is best.
  11. Are these yours? Odd that there is 3 of them with the DSP sitting in storage. I would have thought at one point they would have belonged to a member. @Paducah Home Theater I'm not sure if your allowed to say if you know, but I wouldn't be surprised if you sold these.
  12. My wife now knows what I spent on my new to me AV7704, let's just say I was asking for forgiveness.
  13. Proper Beer line runs through the black pipe, no contact what so ever.
  14. I did the dry January, thought about taking it into February/March to see where it takes me.
  15. Its like water for me, I drink it regularly without guilt. I used to be a beer snob as well, I would tell people that once I am done with my 6 pack of IPAs I can pee in the bottles and offer them a beer, but that was in my early 20s. After gaining 30 lbs sitting in the basement drinking 12 packs of IPAs on Saturday nights, I decided to only keep kegged Miller Lite in normal rotation with the occasional craft beer, homebrew beer. I do keep a beer fridge stocked with a variety of craft beers.

    Checking in

Glad to see you, hope all is well.

  18. Recent photo he sent of it 6285 complete.
  19. Im 40 and was a Lego fanatic. I still have all of mine which are currently at my cousin's house being reassembled to their glory. The King's Castle number 6080 was my first set, my cousin is currently sourcing pieces needed to make it complete. Second favorite was my Black Seas Barracuda 6285.
  20. I figured it made since, SR5015 AVR for the living room, AV7704 with all the features I want for the multipurpose room, Marantz and Klipsch, two icon names in the industry in this house. I am scheduled to receive it today; I think I will see how it sits on a rack shelf as opposed to a rack mount kit. I did identify that the Integra HDMI board is more than likely the culprit. Apparently, I could remove it and bake it in the oven to get it to work. Though I wouldn't be out any money and I do have a newer unit on the way, I don't feel like wasting time on something over 10 years old. I was hoping to upgrade the multipurpose room to 4k this year, maybe this is the start. Only issue now is that I have to find a multichannel amp for the surround sound. If I spend $350 on 2 channels, I might as well spend $550 for 6-8 channels. But then I will be forced to finally add 4-6 channels of surround sound speakers that I previously wired for. This hobby gets expensive.
