  6. Yes selling for $1,800 when new it was said their performance could not be touched by anything else for under $4,000 at that time and now you will need to spend at least $2,000 new to touch this processor. 9. I heard about cubits as a kid from an old standup comic routine of Bill Cosby's when he first started as a comedian in the 60's, Bill Cosby's "Noah". Pretty good standup routine for the time.
  10. I used the Biblical cubit with 13.33333333333333 cubits. However 12.3 personal cubits.

    RIP Bill Paxton

RIP Great is so many roles, I also enjoyed his new TV series Training Day Sad to see him go.
  13. Anyone have a nice original 10 inch RF-7 woofer to sell? New or used but looking for excellent condition. I have an opportunity to buy a nice set of RF-7's but one driver is damaged.
  14. The RS-62 ii are surrounds, the RC-62 ii is a center channel I am not sure how the sound signature of the RP-250S and RS-62 ii compare, but surrounds are much more forgiving than matching Fronts with Center for sound signature.
  15. I personally thought the RF-83 and RF-63 were a downgrade in the Klipsch Reference lineup. I was very happy that Klipsch brought back the RF-7 Classic and then the RF-7ii I would have liked to have seen an RF-5ii version in the lineup. To me the tamed RF-83 & RF-63 sound quality was not as good and I didn't care for their cabinet size, thinner yet taller and very deep or the molded plastic fronts.
  16. Have you thought about using an external DAC ? That would allow you to use the analog Zone-2 inputs. edit: I see this was already considered.
  17. Yes 60 hz should be a good spot for the RF7 ii's, 80 hz is too high for these as they produce excellent bass and it will sound far better to let the RF7 ii go lower.
  18. Only if they are driving behind you. and almost always if they are driving in front of me!
  19. WOW..... and do you also think if there is a Y in a 70 mph freeway everyone is expected to slow to 35 mph after the Y?
  20. Klipsch first marketed its two sets of speaker posts toward bi-wiring (while PWK was still alive), now they market them toward both bi-wiring and bi-amping. To do bi-amping correctly you need to disconnect the speakers passive crossover and use active crossovers, I've never tried it. I did try bi-amping once using my Emotiva XPA-5, five channels as bi-amped fronts and a center I heard no improvement with this. At any rate wiring always opens a huge can of worms and gets everyone arguing their opinions often nearly to the point of an all out war. For me the best speaker cables I have had in my system I made using Mogami 2921 quad wire as bi-wired cable and yes I heard a difference in improved clarity. Personally I have found I can improve my system through trying different wiring. I use it to all of its advantages to improve the sound, improve the looks, protect against unwanted noise with speaker cables, interconnects and power cables. I even use wiring to also make my system operate much more reliably and dependably through triggers, hard wired IR connections together with an RF remote. I can reliably control most operations of my system from anywhere in or outside of my home and I never need to point my remote. I have made most of the wires/cables in my system and carefully chosen the rest because I try to get the very most sound quality, appearance and performance from my system and I care very much about it. What other people want to do with their systems or their wiring is a matter of personal choice and everyone has varying opinions.
  21. Yes but you will need the hitch hikers guide to use as your manual (not included). BTW, the MX-850 is an excellent remote.
  22. These were not the ones I saw mentioned, so others are still coming.
  23. Only that there were new sub(s) coming with real a wood finish to match the RF 7 iii. Not shown at CES but mentioned.
