The only reason is that a friend was moving out and he gave me the woofer only, no preamp I just want to try out the BASH amp .. I already have two stereos at home so don't really want to spend $80 for the preamp

I have a simple question: Is it possible to send line-in into the mini-din port without having to use a preamp? If not, is it easy to make a preamp and if yes which one do I need to use with these ProMedia 4.1?
