I don't concider buying LP's an investment because I'm not a business or reselling, but I have been buying albums...again. Started out this time last year with my old collection from the 80's, 50 or so . I now have around 200+/-. Some are new, some from the "bay", others from local record shops,GW, antique stores. Buying from the "bay" is risky since you can't see it before hand to look it over, but I have had good luck for the most part. Find local stores! You will get, maybe not at the exact time you want it, very nice LP's at a MUCH lower cost. I have also been getting 180g albums, but be prepared to lay out some $$ for them. In th last 2 weeks I have picked up 2 Joe Walsh "So What, There goes the neighborhood", War "The world is a ghetto", Ringo Starr " Blast from your past", Humble pie "humble pie" Humble pie was the priciest at a whopping $9.00 and all in excellent shape including covers! The store even cleans them before sell on their Nitty Gritty. All told I spent about $45.00. I bought one 180g and spent more then that......

Since Pioneer gave up making TV's, I guess they have sold thier "secrets" to Panasonic. Thats what I'm holding out for. Pioneer Kuro is/was the best Plasma by far!

The Denon is for HT with a pair of Carver TFM-35's, and it does a GREAT job of 2 channel also. BUT, I have H/K 430..630 and 930 twin power amp's and a H/K A500 tube amp for vintage 2 channel and a pair of CF2's. You may want to do some research here and else where.... you will learn alot. Amature it is not......

My first experience with Forte's was the same, only they were hooked up to Marantz. They sounded flat and lifeless. After all the reading I had done on Forte's/Klipsch, I knew it had to be the amp, I bought them anyway. After I got them home and hooked up to my Carver's they came to life in a BIG way. I bought a Denon AVR 3805 and they sound great! I now own 3 pair of Forte's []
