  1. Hi Dean, It's been a while since I last talked with you. I just never even realized there was any certain way they had to be. I thought I had them back according to how I had removed them back when I shipped the crossovers to you. Like I said back then I am no Audiophile or anything but since they sounded great I just figured all was well. Any way it is certainly good to hear from you again. I lowered the price to reflect todays current sittuation with jobs and all after talking with Michael since he frequented the forums more than I did. I thank Michael for his advice and he did say that he did not know what Moded RF-7's were worth. I need to sell them so rather than now go back and re-change the price, I am just simply going to leave them at what I have all ready stated I'd sell them for. Haven't had time to re-take some pics as of yet with family in for the Holiday and all but will try at some point tommorow and place them within this thread. Thanks for all the comments everyone. 2. What do you know. I was finaly able with Firefox to do this. These are from a quick take the otherday and so I will take much better ones and place them here. Please excuse the messy look as I had to basicly pull stuff out of my way just to be able to take these shotof the center It looks rough in these shots but it has no scracthes on it its just the lighting from flash.
  3. Hi Everyone, I've been without internet since late last night due to storms here. I only can get sattalite internet here at the lake and it is very un-reliable at best in good wheather let alone storming. Anyway, I did place the horn in wrong when putting them back together evidently and I never noticed. I was so happy with how much improved the speakers were. I never have my grills off so I guess I just didn't see it. I do have them toed in quite a bit so maybe the last gentleman that stated they would need to be toed in due to the placement of the horn is correct. I can easily fix the possition however. I also want to thank Youthman (Michael) for putting the pics on here for me. I will be downloading Firefox Michael in an effort to place some of the center and some even better shots of them all in a bit. JD
  4. After talking with Michael from the forum I realized I was a bit to high on my prices so I have lowered them to reflect todays current markets. I added the RC-7 to the sale for 450.00. Also I forgot to mention I did have Dean G modify both towers and the RC-7 center just after purchasing them. This was not a cheap upgrade but was well worth it in my opinion. My friend has a set of RF-7 with no mod and I and him can tell a big difference from mine to his. Mine are less as harsh and the soundstage is more open, Bass also has a much deeper punch, Highs are less harsh. I remember when I got my crossovers back from Dean the first time I heard them I was shocked at the difference the mod had made.
  5. No Air Soft guns but I do have my gran-kids quite a bit. I truly have no clue when or how it got there.
  6. When I go into options to upload photos it will only let me upload one. Is there a way to upload more than one?
  7. I uploaded pictures to Flickr and should be view-able here at this link below. [ ] Lowered to reflect current market value's and added my RC7 Both the towers and the center have been modified by Dean G. I am selling off some of my equipment to downsize for needed room. We are getting ready to move into a smaller place so these will have to go. I have taken great care of them. Excellent with music or home theater. The RF-7's have some nicked spots that are so small they are barely noticeable. I just want to fully disclose all I know of so I tell of these marks in that perspective. I personally would not even notice but some folks are very particular and will want theirs to have no such marks. I truly would just classify them as marks from moving the speakers at times. They have not been dropped or anything even remotely like that but there are just a couple of little nicks on them. They don't even show up in photos. Also one of the woofers in a tower has a small ding in it. Not broken through or anything and is just a small little spot the size of a BB or so. I have no idea how it got there but it's there none the less. Does not impact the sound from them in any way. One Grill is in excellent condition with no broke tabs. One Grill however has got two broke tabs but still stay nice and tight on the tower and never falls off or any thing. Grill cloth is excellent on both Grills. I do not have the boxes for them so will most likely need to be a local sale here in Talladega, Alabama. RF-7's .....1000.00 RC-7........450.00 I'll answer any questions you may have. I have bought and sold here on the forums in the past but not lately. Sorry for everything being run together, I typed it out with paragraphs but for some reason when posting it just runs all together making it harder to read.
  8. I have a oppurtunity to buy a great amp. Bryston 9B ST THX. This amp is in Japan. The seller is a regular forum member on another forum I frequent and am also a member. I am not worried about product being as descibed or any other issues other that the Radiation that may or may not be present. My concern also is if detected entering Custom's what will happen to it. Any ideas? What you all do? Anyone here have any real knowledge of this Raditation bit and can give real concrete advise? I can get this a t areal bargain just because this fellow has no need anymore (his words) so is letting it go. Had a higher price than I wanted to spend so made an offer before I thought about the radiation stuff and now have a delema. I am not one to make an offer and not go through with it but a little worrried here. Jeff
  9. I have the ps3, and I use it hooked to my Marantz sr8002 and I have to send the signal from the ps3 in bitstream and let my reciever due the decoding, or you can send it in pcm and then the ps3 does the decoding, at leat thats the way the people at ps3 support explains it and thats how it does actually seem to be.Just my observations thoe, I am by no means an expert or anything.
  10. Hi, I have had the RVX54'S set up with my Marantz SR8002 and they sounded great for home theatre and for music. The only reason I stoped using them was because I found the hole package in the RF7 series which sound better and I have always wanted them and finnaly got a chance to own them so I did. The RVX 54'S can still be bought thoe you just have to look around. Not trying to push the ones I am selling on you but I do have aset that I only used for a few weeks before I fount the RF7'S. I have them listed on audiogon and here in the garage sale. But they do sound really good to me like I said I have just wanted the RF7'S for so long that I could'nt pass them up, hence the sale of the 54's. jeffdbodean
