  1. Carl, Yes, Cory was involved with Roy to get a small run of them done. I think Cory had seven for sale but they are all sold now. Rog
  2. They only did a small run of the KPT-1502's and they are old sold. I believe they were being sold for right at $3,000 without an amp. It's big brother the 1802 is still available and makes the best Bass Guitar reproduction you will ever hear IMHO! Rog
  3. You are obviously talking your beliefs and not truth. You have obviously never heard a Klipsch KPT-1502 or 1802 in person. A direct radiator has 10 times the distortion of a Horn and it IS Auditable! Roger
  4. I disagree again, both the Bass horn on the La Scala and Belle are far to short and these speakers are not even acting as a Horn below 100 Hz. Better look at a Horn Sub that can cross that high for best results! Roger
  5. I disagree!! A fully horn loaded speaker Like Klipschorn, La Scala, or Belle deserves to be in a fully Horn loaded system and I don't think for one second that most of us that have multiple pairs of these are that worried about the additional space! My vote rather is most of us are Puss-Pusses and are afraid of the wife! I have never had that problem but boy am I aware of it with most of you.... Hey, the ideal would be one, or a pair of Klipsch KPT-1802's but if your really don't have the room or the budget, a fully horn loaded sub like the DIY F-20 has a pretty small footprint and is only tall and if your aren't handy with tools you can always contract a build with Carl !! For hat it's worth to the sissy's among us, that's just my 2 cents! Roger
  6. The speakers are ONLY supposed to get Alternating Current at all times. If you turn your amp up to loud, you can Clip the amplifier. Clipping the Amplifier means you have run out of headroom and instead of a round wave of Alternating Current, the tops and bottoms of the wave are Clipped off meaning they are flat, straight, or cut off. These flat spots are DC, both positive at the top of the wave and Negative voltage at the bottom of the wave. These flat spots of Direct Current are exactly what heats up your voice coil and can blow your speakers. A lot of good amps starting around 1980 had two RED L.E.D.'s, one for each stereo channel and they would start to light up when you started running your amp into Clipping. Kind of like an idiot light on your car! ... Roger
  7. Richard, You know that I love Kevin to death, but he has it worse than I do! Denial is not a river! Rog
  8. In ALL fairness, Paladiums ARE Beautiful but I have heard the PF-39's and home Klipschorns sound better, let alone Jubes. The Paladiums do have that WAF though if she keeps your pair in her purse! 😆
  9. Dave, I am considering replacing the front three with three Jubilees when I get my inheritance some day... Roger
  10. Yeah Randy! His wife beat the poor lad into selling one of his Danley's didn't she for Christ's sake?
  11. Does Anybody have a copy of those 10 stacks of KP-600's at Kevin Harmons shop? If so, can you post it here? Most of those KP-600 stacks are mine. Roger
  12. Go to the Pro section and I think it is on page 12. Look for "Feeding the TSCM fever" The pictures of the ones in the barn are some of mine when I first got them. Present were Indy klipsch fan, aka Roger Chase, Michael Colter and myself. These are Klipsch Pro Klipschorns also known as TSCM's, NOT home Klipschorns although I used to have four Home Klipschorns and a La Scala center channel before I got these. Presently I have four Klipsch Pro Split La Scala and two Klipsch Pro Slant Monitor Heresy's for my 21 year old Daughter. Roger That is my bald head holding the Dewalt and here are some of my TSCM's. TSCM stands for Theatre Stage Corner Monitor. Those are Klipschorns with fully built backs / wings and bottom and top. A Home Klipschorn has a K-33E 15 inch woofer rated at 100 watts RMS, these have a TSCM (only) K-44E 15 inch woofer rated at 250 watts RMS. A home Klipschorn has a K-400 midrange horn with a 5/8 inch throat and a single K-55 midrange driver. The Top hats on these, besides being able to aim the top section separately from the bottom, they have a K-400 midrange horn but this one has a 2 inch throat with a K-4 splitter attached and it has four K-55 midrange drivers. A home Klipschorn has a single K-77 tweeter and the special tweeter lense in these splits and has two K-77 motors and diaphragms. A home Klipschorn weighs 175 pounds where as these weigh in at 250 pounds each. Since I have Srven of these with four K-55 drivers each, that is 28 K-55 drivers alone. These were oriiginally sold in the early to mid 1980's and were only sold to movie theatres. Roger
  13. I have seven Pro Klipschorns... Want to talk Klipsch High End, let's talk seven Jubilees or seven double MWM bins with Jubilee top section, or even seven KP-600 stacks. or stay off the porch! This is the Pro Section... Roger
  14. I had a stock pair in much nicer shape than these and had both high frequency cabinets and both Low frequency cabinets. Stock early La Scala sound a lot better to me. Roger
  15. Great dude, thanks for that ! Question, do you think putting the trim back to brand new factory specs would look better or having it professionally polished and polished nickel plating would look better ?? Everybody weigh in please... Rog
  16. One pair of my daughters two pairs of split LSI with trim...
  17. Thanks Carl, I think they will but you are the first one to agree with me, Luther likes the idea better without trim.. Rog
  18. Congrats on your sale! My money is on round magnet K-33E's Make the new ones beautiful as well !! Rog
  19. K-43E's came in MWM's with cast frames and steel frames in Pro La Scalas but, the ones I have seen don't have the ribbed cones plus they have extra ribs cast into the supports between the part of the frame that supports the magnet and the part of the frame that suports the drivers surround. Roger
  20. Mike, Both pair of La Scalas have textured surface and the pair of Heresy slant monitors have fiberglass. A friend is doing them for me, but if I were doing it myself, I would remove the trim, Bondo the hell out of the surface and wide belt them. I will try ta attach a picture of the veneer my daughter picked out. Putting grills on all speakers and slant grills on La Scala Bass Bins. Roger
  21. I recently bought a pair of K-77M Mud Magnet tweeters for $120 for the pair... They were an earlier and to me, more desirable pair that have the little round silver PWK badges, unlike the newer ones with just the purple stamp. If it were me, I would steer clear of K-77's that have new diaphragms because many of the diaphragms out there are junk. I sold a single K-77 Anico round magnet tweeter for like $60. Roger
  22. Dude !!! What are you going to veneer them in ?? Those cain grills really looked stunning with the Black by the way !! What drivers do you have in the beaters and what is your plan ?? I have four Pro Split La Scalas with Trim and two Pro Heresy Slant Monitors with trim that a friend is going to veneer in Santos Rosewood for my Daughter. Plans are to completely refinish all trim and put it all back on with the Rosewood. Currently I have Six extra K-55V solder terminal drivers and six extra K-55M drivers and I need to decide between K-55 Push pin, K-55 Solder Terminal and K-55M for voice on all these... I bought K-42 Woofers and they are installed into the slant monitors after an A/B session of listening. I also replaced the original Alnico round magnet K-77's in the slant monitors with K-77 square Mud magnet tweeters so all six match. Roger
