  1. Just build yourself a frame & wrap it in a fabric of choice. Use magnets or velcro to attach your newly made grill.
  2. Very nice, where did you get the frame ?
  3. If you're going to be rolling them through the grass & such 3" wheels would be the minimum size i would use. 4 of these wheels to turn. + 4 of these to follow.
  4. Great advice, even considering they share the same mid and tweet the do not sound the same to me, and considering the size and price difference is large. Many times i hear people say the sound the same, the Corns just have more bass. My guess is they never heard them together or at all.
  5. Looks like many votes for both sides of the table. I say you flip a coin or go hear them for yourself if you're going to purchase a set.
  6. A perfect room for K-horns is not a reality for 99.9% of the population. Maybe a good idea for new construction but if you have that kind of cash why not upgrade to the Jubilee or better.
  7. Go active crossover or find a local expert willing to take on the crossover build. Those cabinets look to big to make shipping a reasonable option for specialized crossover work.
  8. Last call before i part them out on fleabay. All offers & trades will be considered.
  9. No problem, I'm not a huge Blues fan but i do like a good live concert. There are many stages to choose from too.
  10. Its Free, just walk right into Grant park after getting searched & hassled by Chicago's finest.
  11. Nice looking sub, it should go quick.
  12. A basic subwoofer cabinet would be a good project to learn how to install veneer, basic 90 degree angles are pretty easy.
  13. K-horns dig deeper in frequency but La Scala has better midbass, they sound somewhat similar and some like one over the other. I prefer La Scala's with a good horn loaded subwoofer, you get better midbass & lower bass notes than the K-horn is capable of producing.
  14. I have always wanted a set of these, I'm sure they will go quick. Hope everything works out.
  15. 8 3/4" is more than the maximum allowed. Just trying to help is all, its all stated in the plans.
  16. There aren't any "missing braces". There are 2 that you can't see due to the angle that the picture was taken. 8 braces are missing not 2
  17. Baltic Birch or equivalent plywood or MDF would be your best choice, stay away from solid wood. I prefer plywood for its durability plus its lightweight & does not soak up water like a sponge if it gets wet. Good luck with your project, be sure to post pictures (we like pictures).
  18. Speakers against a 12 1/2 foot wall. Room depth 14 ft. to back well where my headboard is, which then opens to a 3 x 15 ft. hallway. This is something I never expected from such a small box, so I'm sure it's mostly the room and corner placement on right with with near corner placement on left also (3ft from corner 1/2 bath door needs to open). The following Room Simulation Wizard should serve to explain the 40 Hz. peak that was measured. at the spot with the "head" symbol/mike placement. Since I measured most of the bass coming out of the rear ports before I put these in the room, I basically modeled them as a 30-150 Hz. sub and measured the exact location of the ports against the wall. I would say the model AND the measurements agree. SHroomSim.jpg The room is a very nice size for a pair of Heresy's and with you mods should offer a little more thump where it needs to be along with midbass details.
  19. How big is your room ? Is space limitation a issue ? Lots of great options available, if your room is not huge you can rely on room gain to get you where you need to be.
  20. Looks good. Leaving the extra set of braces out is a bad idea, you end up with a resonance issue similar to the La Scala bass bin except instead if just 2 panels resonating you end up with 11 with the problem. Remember your stock is only 1/2" thick, its in the plans to be braced at no more than 8 inches apart for a reason.
  21. If the IB setup works OK up to 100Hz be sure the manifold is fairly centered behind your screen or have one on each side, frequencies become more directional the higher they get and you will notice it at 100 Hz.
  22. Coming up soon, don't miss out. Been sick as He11 for the last few days, hope this flu is gone by the 13th.
  23. Those who love horn bass & those who don't know any better sounds more appropriate.
  24. Did you look inside to see if maybe you got all 10? Just one unfortunately, opened it up the other day to check what size frame to get. The poster is 24" x 18" and is on a very heavy paper and well made. #56 of 500
  25. I use Terk powered antenna and I'm my second one now, the first one fell from a shelf high up and broke. I'm in Arlington Heights now but it worked well in Mt Prospect, Des Plaines, Zion & Rockford pulling in all available stations and some i did not know were there. Its adjustable and the trick is to keep it away from your speakers & other electronics as high up as you can get it, i listen to XRT sometimes and have no problems.
